Didn’t Fabio admit that he released information so agents can start a bidding war, and help players in contract renewals?

I don’t know. When Jamie Driscoll was in charge of the North Tyne authority, which this mayoral role superseded, he refused to allow the funds be used for anything other than affordable housing. It seems like Kim is happy to just put the funds out if it’s going to include offices, and there is no mention of affordable homes.

Aye, last week one on Twatter was saying that if the guy who was wearing one of our tops at Seaburn wasn’t with his children, then he would have knocked him out. Also, so their shirt sold out straight away, and ours hasn’t so that’s laughable, yet they keep seeing everyone in the Sunderland suburbs, and all the over to the Algarve wearing one of our shirts. Do you not think that suggest the largest football kit manufacturer in the world maybe made a fuck load more of our tops than your 4th rate manufacturer made for them? Honestly, most mackems you come across in real life are decent people, but the ones on RTG, and online are just full on spanners.

I’ve said this even before the takeover, but we’ll get a new badge. As it happens I think it will be a fresher version of the magpie and castle. This logo features prominently on the new home kit, and other marketing by the club. In a recent Eales interview when they were in Germany, he is sat in front of a variation of it, with a slight change in colours. In some angles where it is more visible, the logo is more blurred. I don’t think they would be using that logo so much if they were not starting to transition. As it happens for the 3rd shirt, Adidas are actually using retro logo’s for most of their teams on their third shirts, usually combined with their Trefoil logo. Leeds have just released their away shirt with a retro logo which has went down very well with their fans. TLDR: A bit of both is preparing for a new logo, and Adidas marketing for this season.

It will be quieter than the home shirt. People only found out about the release yesterday, and have just spent at least £80 on the home top. On top of this, people know about the design for the away top which will be more popular.

Good chance that by now the black colour of the tattoo has faded into a green similar to the shirt as well. Win win for him.

It looks far far better than I thought it was going to look.

He never said fans would hear about it imminently, he said that they hadn’t received the feasibility study yet and that they were due to receive it imminently.

Confirmation that Rafa brought Staveley in to buy the club. We have so much to thank that man for.

It is, but it will take time. This is why what happens to SJP/new build stadium is key. First of all it will bring in more fans to games, then it will bring in more corporate/boxes people, and it will bring in more events. This is years away though. Right now we are left with having to deal with other sponsorships, which will be a difficult sell to the Premier League who are determined not to let us have anything. They will keep resisting us being able to get deals close to the other top 6, as they will argue that 2 years doesn’t equal parity. We will have to do what Spurs did, but you could argue that largely started when plans for their new stadium got going. Unfortunately for us we are the best part of, if not atleast 5 years away from moving into a new stadium. So right now we just have to maximise what we can get out of sponsorship deals, and that means we have to get everything right on the pitch to keep up with the top 6. Our argument of saying well finishing 7th is at worst an 80% chance of European football, so therefor we can justify getting those sponsorship the top 6 do will fall on a table of laughing cocks at the Premier League.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
Stifler replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
Both his parents died very close to each other, and I believe he was the one who was appointed to take care of everything. Ironically his brother is actually a bin man for North Tyneside council. -

I hate the man as much as the next Newcastle fan, but his parents had just died as he was offered the Sheffield Wednesday job and he was left in charge of everything. -
He speaks like and sounds like the Madmistake, both in actual sound/accent, but mannerisms/style of speech.

We already are thinking about it. The feasibility study is due at anytime, and has possibly already landed on Eales’ desk. I would very much doubt that it would conclude anything short of a new stadium or rebuild (with an adjustment of footprint) is what would be possible.

Isn’t CCC still largely supported by middle class and upper class individuals? I can’t see many of them giving a fuck about the origins of money, and that is also assuming they are ones who would ask so follow the Hundred series as well.
-
It will happen, they’ll get money from the government. The government love to give Manchester money and think it’s saying they have invested in the North, and INEOS will have a team of dedicated lobbyists who are used to getting government investment.

Aye, sure I’ve heard people getting conned off him, either never receiving the stuff they ordered, or them being fakes when they have arrived.
-
They were 2-0 up until the 85th minute, Easington equalised in the last minute of stoppage time.
-
Yes, and this is more evidence that they do. They are investing again in our region. Soon enough the North East will become the hotbed for Saudi’s investment in the U.K., like London was for the Russians after the fall of the USSR, and in more recent times, Abu Dhabi in Manchester.

JD don’t do names and number. You would have to go to the shop, they won’t give a fuck where you got it from, just charge you. You won’t get any insurance incase they do it wrong/burn it, which can happen when they are careless.

No way of casting it to your TV from iPhone. -
Arguably it is better for the region if they stay down as they would have more away days and away fans coming to the region. The rest depends on how many home fans they get through the door, and I’m not convinced it would be significantly more than what they get now.

It’s worth noting that the Premier League has to sign off on transfers. So if there was a problem with it, it would have been flagged when it went through and prevented.

It’s always been the case for them. Murray was the best owner they could have asked for. He took them from being nothing team who managed to fluke a cup win in the early 70’s, to a Premier League team with a 49k capacity brand new stadium. He shot his bow too high and ultimately they came back down, and the fans wanted him gone. Quinn took over and they loved him, but as soon as an American who may have had more money than him came along, they were happy to depart from him. Soon enough they realised that he had also shot his bow too high, but worse he had realised as well, and the money dried up. Along came them chancers, and they believed there was money to had off them, they quickly realised that they were chancers and the money to be had, was from them. On to the trust fund boy, now they have realised that he doesn’t have all of daddies money, and he won’t spend all of what he is allowed to spend on them, so they have been wanting him out for a little while. They just won’t want to spend their money on the club, I have said it before but there has been questions asked of their fans if they won the Euro’s would they buy the club. Bear in mind we are talking about a 25% cost to winnings here. The vast majority said they wouldn’t. The ticket sales show that largely they are not selling tickets, and when they do it is of a lower price than similar clubs due to how many they have to give away for free or via a promotion. Now by and large, I’m not having a go at them for giving away tickets to the right causes, although I think they overstretch with the determining factors. I think most clubs, certainly those in the Premier League, and Championship should be giving away a % of tickets to worthy causes. For us, a 1% allocation would equate to 520 tickets per match, which is rather generous to be honest. I know a couple of their fans, sound guys, in fact most people in Sunderland are, and are nothing like the RTG’s, although the debate is open considering the election results over the last 8 years in Sunderland. However 1 of them doesn’t bother going to matches much now, just the odd game here and there. The other the last I knew was a season ticket holder. But others who I come across who claim to be big fans just are not turning up to their games. Part of me thinks there is potential at Sunderland for bigger crowds, and more support, but then if we kick on and becomes successful, I think the outer areas of Sunderland and the crossover areas will really suffer with fans drifting to us. I don’t think there is a mega billionaire owner for them. They have had 4 takeovers in the last 20 years or so, and in that time the club has always been for sale, even if it’s not been on the open market. Anyone buying a club now with the wealth similar to us are not buying Sunderland, too close for catchments areas, and you have other options available like Everton, and West Ham, as well as the possibility to buy into or launch mega takeovers for the likes of Spurs, or Liverpool. If you were a billionaire and had the money to buy a club that you could take to the next level with investment including potentially a new stadium, who are you choosing? Everton: Could be bought on the cheap, new stadium being built for over 50k supporters, has a decent supporter base despite Liverpool being on their doorstep. West Ham: One of the last sleeping giant clubs. A proven fanbase who follow them, could buy their stadium for next to nothing and turn it into a dedicated football stadium. Sheffield Wednesday: A forgotten fallen giant, needs a new owner, needs a new stadium, supporter base is probably one of the best and constantly sells out. Has that supporter base and the potential to attract more despite sharing their city with Sheffield United. Derby: An overlooked option, but their supporter base is admirable, frequently gets some of the highest turnouts, despite being well and truly fucking shit for 20-25 years. Sunderland: Sell outs 1 game every few years after a drive for records to be broke by owners, and tickets being sold cheaply, and given away. Average ticket price is £10 because of the discounted tickets. Has the worlds richest sports club on their doorstep who have the open ambition to be the best club in the World.
