  1. There is a Saturday night (8pm KO) on instead, probably because European football is back in the midweek, and it gives the Champions League teams an extra day to prepare.
  2. The stadium isn’t that much of an issue for Man Utd. They would easily be able to get finance for a rebuild, and they would have every major corporation in the world ready to throw money at them for the naming rights. Yes Spurs have had an issue with their naming rights, but that’s down to Levy always wanting more than anything is worth, and wanting a specific name. I guarantee if we did a rebuild, we would easily be able to call it the Amazon box, or Apple Dome. We wouldn’t be asking for £100m a season though, and wouldn’t want the sponsorship to pay for the whole stadium within 10 years, unlike Levy. It would be the same with Man Utd, it would be a 20-25 year deal, with the vast majority of it paying the stadium off, but the rest coming from an increase in revenue.
  3. Adidas are set to release a Lyon remake of a shirt from the mid 90’s, it said to be an exact replica. They will also apparently be doing the same for Argentina, and Mexico shirts from 1990. I guess it makes it feasible that they will do the same for us once our Castore deal ends.
  4. They ran out of ideas. The ball wasn’t rolling enough for them to play football. Burnley realised that if they hoofed it over the top then they were in and had a few chances towards the end of the game. As we said earlier on, the pitch is not helping them. You could get away with it if you are long ball team, not if you want to play it along the deck or run with it.
  5. If it wasn’t for him, Man Utd would probably be where Everton are right now, and they would be supporting Chelsea/Arsenal/Man City/Real Madrid/New England Patriots.
  6. Only 1 team winning this, and it’s not Newcastle.
  7. How the fuck did she not score there?
  8. This is scrappier than a fight outside social club on a Friday night.
  9. Can’t blame that on the pitch, the corner flag was in more danger of being hit than it is following a Matt Ritchie goal.
  10. That’s the worst penalty miss I’ve ever seen, and I’ve missed some fucking shockers myself.
  11. Pitch is awful like. Everything is bouncing and slowing down. Not a chance we can share with the Rugby team in the long run.
  12. I honestly don’t get it. They especially want younger fans in, and I’m sorry but loads of older people either pay by card or via Apple Pay/Google Pay. There is hardly anyone of a younger generation who carries cash now, fuck banks even do digital pocket money accounts for kids. It’s not just paying for things on card either. North Shields is awash of different food outlets, from chip shops, to restaurants, and bistro bars, you even have the Geordie banger company down the street, heck one of the clubs sponsors is the local butchers. You could get one of those in to do the catering, or even different ones on a match by match basis. North Shields has 2 different coffee companies who roast their own beans as far as I’m aware, get them to supply coffee over buying a knock off version of Kenco. Put it as part of the matchday advertising. Encourage people to come. Last year they were getting crowds of 400-500, heck that’s not far off what Gateshead were getting not long ago. There is more fans now who go to their away games then who went to their home games when me & my stepdad went to see them in the early 2000’s, when sometimes it was just me & him at games. This is when NUFC are doing amazingly well, when the likes of Hebburn are wanting to compete at a higher level, South Shields are being bankrolled towards league football, Blyth are leaps and bounds away from them, and Gateshead are 1 promotion away the EFL. There is people wanting to go to games, there has been people going to games. Get on with it and do something with the ground, show that you want to progress along with everyone else.
  13. It looks like Everton are signing up with Castore from next season. Meanwhile Villa are looking like doing an us and sacking them off early after this season.
  14. They were begging for him until the Qatari came in and they thought it was the Qatari government buying them behind the face of someone else.
  15. Can they pull out if they never wanted to sell in the first place?
  16. North Shields today: ’Please come and see us play’ Also North Shields today: ’Cash only!’

    St James' Park

Same reason everyone thinks it is St James’ Park, because everyone pronounces it that way.

    St James' Park

Only found out it never had a R in it a couple of days ago. For what it’s worth, St James’ Park was originally St James Park, and no one knows when it changed, but it hasn’t officially.
  20. Next to the corporate areas. There is a concrete wall and seats alongside it are classed as restricted view because you have to move your head around the wall.
  21. I said this a little while back. Loads of our fans with the ‘fuck you for not being a season ticket holder’ attitude, not realising that sooner or later they could be fucked over when season tickets top £1k minimum and they are the ones being ousted.
  22. It happened to us a few years ago when Liverpool came and they got that dodgy late winner. Ashley had sold loads of tickets in the 1892 club to Liverpool fans and got away with it by classing it as corporate tickets.
  23. And Reading have released a statement saying that they are in discussions with a number of businessmen about a sale, and that they are not in a period of exclusivity with any of them, nor have any been put forward to the EFL for the directors & owners test. It seems that Billy big bollocks has been feeding the story himself in an attempt to push others away, and for his own ego.
  24. 3 weeks after being all over social media and outraged that Newcastle were shown on TV again and Liverpool were not, Liverpool fans are now all over social media and outraged that Liverpool have played more Saturday 12pm games than any other Premier League club since Klopp arrived.
  25. Aye, I do however think that we are capable of doing the double over them. They are the weakest of all the teams in this group, even if the coefficients don’t reflect that. I honestly think that going into our away game with them, we should be going into that game with the aim of either securing our place in the next round (depending on other results), or making it virtually a formality.
