Aye but despite what Rio would tell you, he actually had multiple chances to do a retest and had people ringing him to tell him to comeback on a reschedule.

Apart from the constant corruption and fear that something similar will blow up. A lot of good teams can have Championship players in their squads, some have highlighted Juventus above, wasn’t long ago Inter had a player who was average for Cardiff amongst their ranks. Most of the stadiums need to be replaced. Serie A has a lot of potential with massive clubs in it, but they do need an overhaul.

Isn’t the Hawthorns closer to Villa Park than St Andrews?

It had fuck all to do with the illegal streaming as well. It had everything to do with the majority of the top 6 not wanting us as competition. It is widely reported that Gary Hoffman was brought in to stop our takeover by 5 of the top 6 clubs, and his failure to prevent that is why he was essentially sacked. The illegal streaming in Saudi had stopped ages ago, and the reinstatement of Bein was applied before our takeover went through. On top of this, the assurances that the Saudi government couldn’t influence anything regarding the club was a made up reason. The Premier League has no such rules against it, in fact Chinese companies even if they are officially owned by Chinese individuals are all subject to Chinese government control when their government requires it. The Premier League at the time had a situation where both the owners of Southampton and WBA had been informed by the Chinese government to sell the clubs and stop further investment. There was also question marks over if it could be applied to Wolves owners as well. The reason the takeover went through is because the Friday before the judge in the CAT case had allowed us to use evidence, and publicly against the Premier League which showed that they were illegally trying to block the takeover upon request of the 5 clubs, and there also indications that the evidence would also show that the Premier League knew about the ESL proposals and were more on board with it than they made out to be. The allowing of Bein being shown in Saudi, and the legal assurances were all a smokescreen the Premier League requested in order to give the impression that they did what they could to prevent the takeover, and to save face.

This isn’t just in reference to Ashley, but I’m astonished that there isn’t more of an uproar about companies like SD. I worked in retail for 11 years, end even though I probably worked for one of the better companies, there was still stuff that didn’t seem right and they seemed to be on a downward slope. When I first started working for the company I did, they had someone who’s full shift was a whole role was to check the end of date life’s. It would be an 8 hour shift. By the time I left the role had been removed and a colleague had an hour at best to check the whole stock. Self scans became a thing, and the initial intent was that you would have a person dedicated to being on them and making sure people had help, assist with age restrictions etc. Pretty soon that turned into the person on the till having to do that in between serving customers. They brought in a new way of disciplining colleagues, which was essentially for any reason we can put you on performance management and then say you weren’t performing without a way of actually measuring if you were. I saw people be removed of their jobs because of this, and all down to the manager just not liking them. It is now incredibly rare for a retail worker to get a full time contract. They are quite good at getting people to work part time with 4 hour shifts so that they don’t even have to cover their breaks. There is a whole database there for managers to use so that they can get people to work overtime, but stop at the exact point before they would be legally entitled to a better contract. Aye ok this pales in significance of what Ashley does at SD, but we’ve heard the stories of what happens at Amazon etc. The whole retail sector is either at their levels, or very fast on the way to it. Working in retail in a non management position is fucking shit, and underpaid, and no one seems to be taking any notice at all.

They are having a good season this season, however I really do think he should have left last season when they won the cup. Chances are they are not going to beat that, and sooner or later he will come under pressure as soon as they hit a rough patch, and he will go with his reputation tarnished, only to be recover by the West Ham fans in hindsight further down the line.

I think the general belief is that in the next few years the WSL will expand to something like 16-20 clubs and clubs will once again be invited to apply to make the step up. Man Utd women were only formed in 2018 and gained entry to the Championship after Premier League teams were asked to put forward women’s team who would be ran professionally. They nearly won the WSL last season.

I honestly think that these are the weakest team in the group. I know they were fucked over by the penalty in their first match against PSG, but they looked rather toothless upfront. I obviously didn’t see their game against AC, but I’d imagine they may have been 2nd best in that fixture. If we do the double over them then we are going to at least be playing in Europe in the 2nd part of the season, possibly already through to the knockout stages.

There is a clear pool of shit gathering at the bottom of the league now.

I thought they were playing at home there, and wondering why they would be playing in their away strip at home, then I realised that they have the exact same stadium.

I’m not suggesting the hospital pays for it, but £30 for 3 days for free view and TNT sports is a disgrace, so is £30 for 5 days of Sky Sports.
-
My stepdad is in hospital, and he’s going to be in for a little while yet. We went to put some TV on for him. It’s nearly £30 for 3 days of TV with TNT sports. It’s another £30 for 5 days of Sky Sports. It’s a fucking disgrace.
-
That’s been discussed at length on here, but today is not a day we discuss that.
-
May he rest in peace.

I’m not sure if we are just pure class, or if Palace are hopelessly crap.
-
5 minutes added on, could be 3-0 before HT.
-
Some of our passes are like we are playing FIFA and every forward pass is a through ball. Wilson should have finished his chance like.
-
Those friendly Liverpool fans there just thinking and hoping for the best of him there as they were in his face flipping him off.
-
Astonished that wasn’t given for Liverpool. They should replay the game now.
-
Typical red card in this fixture.
-
Sounds like any game at Anfield between KO and the 88th minute, fucking silent.
-
Aye, it happened to me just before KO, then again just now. I had to restart my Apple TV to get it to work again.

Anyone else’s Discovery+ having buffering issues?

Isn’t the score board provided by the domestic broadcaster?
