I think the first bit of what you wrote is the whole issue. Man Utd are not yet a year in from announcing their new stadium, and already they are rowing back on it. First of all it seems unlikely that they will pay to have the freight depot site, then the canopy has fell to the wayside. Now they need to plan on if they can even build it on the same site and where they will have to move too. Birminghams won’t get built, not as it looks. They though are very fortunate to have a spare brownfield site right on their doorstep that their regional mayor wants to develop. Leeds and Forest are not building new stadiums, they are rebuilding a stand, possibly 2. If PIF came out with these ideas and started rowing back, there would be even more accusations of them not being interested in us. The same applies if they turn around and say they are only going to rebuild 1 stand at SJP. I’d much rather we take 4-5 years to develop a plan for the best stadium that we feasibly can have, rather than have plans or ideas thrown about that won’t happen.

At no point has she realised that Ian isn’t interested in her apology or wanting to have any sort of relationship with her, be it personal or professional. She’s also expecting that people will be there to lift her up, even after she publicly attacked them. There is no indication that she has any sort of self awareness that isn’t driven by her own ego.

Yeah, I’d argue sentiment has got us in this mess. Years of not upgrading the wings because Ritchie was a good lad to have around. Trippier and Krafth are good lads, so no need for decent RB cover. How many goalkeepers do we have because they are great lads? How long did we have to deal with Burn at LB because we wouldn’t upgrade on Dummett? Bruno will go down as an icon, but are his best days behind him now? I’d say so. Tonali is great on his day, but if clubs come sniffing for something like £80m can we go out and find a replacement for half the price? Yeah we probably could. Joelinton can be our biggest strength in midfield, and our biggest liability, in the same week, well sometimes in the same game. Can we improve upon him and is it time to do so? Probably. Livramento is a great player, but if Man City, Arsenal, and even Real Madrid come sniffing can we keep a hold of him? Not really, and we should be making the most out of any deal to get the guy who’s fist on our list to replace him and 2nd on our list to back him up.

Howe or not, I honestly think we could be doing a massive overhaul this summer. Tonali money, maybe Livramento money, on top of Isak money, Champions League money, and other revenue could give us a decent rebuild, especially if we get some money for Gordon as well. Keep Hall and Miley as the players to build around. We probably do need a rebuild, tactics have got stale, players have got stale, even some of our best players are starting to age out.
