    Haha, I meant FT.

I’ve spoken to fans who had to wait 2-3 hours to get a Metro home on Saturday. Normally come 1 hour after FT you are able to just walk on a Metro with plenty of space. I mean between the likes of the club who handed out tickets to the event, Newcastle Council via parking charges and vehicle traffic statistics, Nexus via bus and Metro fares, Network rail via passenger numbers (trains from Ashington were missing stations on the line hours ahead of the event), and Northumbria Police due to safety reasons, you would have thought 1 of them would have contradicted the 300k figure they have put out if it was only 50k.

  4. Not really. We showed it ourselves, if you are new to Europe or home a long gap without it, you don’t get as much Champions League money. I fail to see how Forest can sustain it beyond this season. Their owner isn’t as rich as he’d made out to be. He’s actually in the 3rd quarter of richest owners in the league. His wealth is equal to what the Saudi’s are said to be paying for our new stadium. Aside from this he also own Olympiacos, which are his boyhood club, his true passion, and are arguably the bigger of his 2 clubs on the European stage.
  5. Aside from Leicester? I mean honestly, MON’s Aston Villa. It was just filled with English cloggers who had failed at the big 6 clubs, in an era when the English premium was just coming in. They were nothing special, and a bunch of overrated overhyped players, and they finished 6th twice. I think they only finished 6th because the rest of the league was fucking shit. That team summed up MON as a manager to me. Absolutely fucking nothing about him, but looked good because at both Celtic, and Aston Villa he had the money which resulted in him finishing where he did. The Leicester League Cups aside, he was a fucking shit manager without money.
  6. We want as many teams above us to drop points as possible to be honest.
  7. Eh? We have a game in hand on Forest. Let’s say they lose tonight, we win tomorrow and our game in hand, we are only 1 point behind them.
  8. Since our takeover, I’ve recently been watching documentaries on Saudi, and even been watching someone who travels (usually just in the USA) on YouTube go there (pre-takeover) and it doesn’t seem to be like what the stereotypes are now. However, I’m not going to go because a few football YouTubers have taken a bit from their tourist marketing budget. Stick to providing discounts codes for Nord VPN la
  9. It all depends on who wins the FA Cup. If whoever wins it, already qualified for Europe, then it will drop down a place in the league, to 7th (assuming England get the extra Champions League place).
  10. You could argue Spurs and Arsenal as well. Spurs wouldn’t be as big as they are if they weren’t located in London. Arsenal moved out of an area that they shared with Charlton, Millwall, Crystal Palace, and to a lesser extent West Ham. They moved into an area that they only shared with Spurs.
  11. I think part of that is my thinking as well. Bournemouth isn’t a footballing hotbed. 2 of their season ticket holders are Harry Redknapp, and Souness, and because they both retired there. They could get into Europe, and win the cup and I feel a few years down the line, absolutely no one would give a fuck about them again. I don’t think they’ll ever be able to significantly increase their fanbase. I just don’t think the South Coast is a footballing hotbed, the same sort of dislike applies to Brighton. Plymouth aside, I have started to hate all the South Coast clubs. With Plymouth, I like them for how they treated us when we got promoted as Champions and they got relegated, and I can understand how their region is overlooked and generally rather poor, and even with these considerations, I don’t think Plymouth can become much bigger than what they are now. It’s very similar to the Rugby clubs who came up and stole a place in the Premier League, Wigan and Reading, I’m looking at you two.

A couple of mates of mine are fans of theirs. 1 lad who I went to uni with, another who I work with now. Neither of them are anything like the RTG’s. Fair enough the lad who I work with has lost much of his interest in football, and the lad from uni you can’t have a reasonable discussion if we are mentioned, but generally they are decent, and more level headed. Sunderland as a place has it’s social problems, the Brexit vote was a big indicator nationwide of this. I honestly believe that those who have an irrational hatred of us, do so for the same reason why they voted Brexit, and vote for the likes of Reform in large numbers, as well as their protests/riots. Hating us is an outlet. It’s hard to believe that 10-15 years ago we were both coming together for the lads who died in the plane crash, and the young kid who had cancer.
  13. Honestly think Man City will engage Man City end of season mode now. Do that 15 game winning run that they so often do. Enough to get a Champions League place, and to win the FA Cup.
  14. If they don’t get European football, he’ll go. But I agree, Spurs under him would be another challenger that we don’t want.
  15. Nah, even before he came in I disliked them. I think it started a year or 2 before they went down.

It would be if you get a lower league team and they can get 70k people in. That’s £280k that they would get.
  17. I’ve got to say, I have a dislike of Bournemouth that I shouldn’t. Small club came up and did things the right way. Plucky underdogs. Howe, and others connections. I just can’t seem to stand them to be honest. Everyone seems to be wishing them well, and liking them shake things up. I just want them to fuck off back down the leagues to be honest, and I can’t even tell you why.
  18. This, on top of how I would still be envious of anyone else winning it, despite winning the League Cup. With Man City, you just shrug your shoulders and get on with it.

In my opinion, cup games shouldn’t be factored into income ahead of the season. If we get home draws, we should price it as low as possible. Get the kids and families in. £10 a ticket, they’ll end up spending money for food and drink, and in the club shop.

There will be a permanent version with a couple of hotel built into in my opinion.

I’m honestly not arsed. As someone else has said, on derby day anything can happen, so even though we should beat them, it’s not a guarantee, especially if our fixture against them falls after a big European night. In the grand scheme of things we are doing separate things though. Next season our aims should be a top 4 finish, and to see how far into a title race we can get ourselves, as well as a decent go at the cups. Their season will all be about trying to stay up, and the 2 games against us.

    St James' Park

It was shown to the NUFC delegation at the meeting earlier in the month. Nothing in that article is news, it’s all just a repeat of what Luke Edwards has said, but re-published under a different journalist ahead of the celebration event to gain more clicks.
  23. The bus will arrive at the Town Moor at 5pm. The bus parade is only going to take half an hour.
  24. Apparently someone who ordered the Cup winners shirt received a signed shirt instead. https://www.reddit.com/r/NUFC/s/4X8gLYshcD
