Because this way all the food and drink that they sell is their own income.

Didn’t the last takeover occur due to fans putting their money in their own pocket? I even think some NUST members were part of the group who bought them. Without them, the club would have went bust.

Looks like the Falcons are going bust. I wonder if PIF will actually go in for them as they were rumoured to be early last year, or if they will be interested in Kingston Park for the women’s team/academy if they do fold.

Aye but what you don’t understand is that Lyon are quite likely going to be playing in the 2nd tier next season.

I’m not the biggest admirer of Liverpool fans, but this is a good touch. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/16FhJe35NZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I went to talk to my dad on the phone yesterday, only to realise that my voice has gone, left up by SJP no doubt. It’s still gone.

If you look at the replay, it looks like the ball is heading into the 6 yards box, before catching a bit of back spin and serving wide out to Dan Burn. It takes every Liverpool player out of the equation.

I think when I wrote that, it technically hadn’t been 24 hours.

Aye, amazing that he goes on about the threat of a Geordie culture, which is apparently only new to overtake the Mackem culture. What you mean that Mackem culture that has only been created in recent generations? The one where your football club created a whole new nickname for themselves, dropped a popular traditional club badge for one that look warily similar to Newcastle United’s? The Mackem culture where the word Mackem is relatively new, created originally by Geordies to differentiate the two areas/sets of people on the back of their manufacturing industry and accent, which they picked up themselves. That Country Durham city that only became a city in the early 2000’s, a city that went from a small town to a large town and city on the back of the Industrial Revolution, and has now shadowed over the original County Durham city, Durham. That city that in recent years has made a name for itself on the national and international stage for it notable lurch to the right in politics. The fact is, Sunderland has became more visible in the public eye in recent years, and is increasingly becoming so, and not for all the right reasons either.

He announced it off the back of the clubs announcement, but the club must have announced it too early and took it down.

Aye, that Irish Sunderland fan who followed them on the back Keane and the Irish consortium buying the club, but used to be a regular at Celtic. What a tosser.

It’s on ITV X if anyone wants to go again on round 12.

Europa League, the Conference League would be more comparative to the Cup Winners Cup.
-
Not taking away from your point, but it was all 7 teams and they didn’t all get a home draw, most of them did, but not all of them.
-
Aye, fucking infuriating. I’m now watching from full time through to all the interviews, cup lift etc.

She was enjoying it as much as anyone. So were your parents. Your dad had an understanding of knowing what it meant to us, that only real football fans will understand, your mam was well into it as a Newcastle United fan.

It think it would take English teams losing all their games from now on, and the Italians winning as many games as possible, including potentially winning each cup competition. I think 1 English club win in any competition will confirm it now.
