    St James' Park

They aren’t houses, they are student accommodation and apparently the interiors have been ripped out. You could redo the insides with period like features and have it as a boutique accommodation option for corporate fans. It’s easy enough building a student accommodation block where the Stack is (as part of a new permanent fanzone) that houses more students and can generate even more income for the club.

I thought that the images today showed them digging a bit deeper.

Athletic doesn’t, the Athletic even say over recent years senior figures indicate a new stadium is preferred and that this does not go against that belief.

It can’t, despite us owning the building, English heritage/historic England will fight to preserve the buildings rights. You don’t get to change a listed building and it’s rights because you own it.

This will help us in multiple ways. 1: It means the owners of this building won’t object to a new stadium on Leazes Park. 2: In time I think the student accommodation will be converted to high end apartments that the club sells as part of corporate packages. 3: I believe the original owners were Newcastle University, so this would indicate that they now have a working relationship with the university. Going back to point 1, this be useful as the university are the landlords on the other side of Leazes Park/Castle Leazes, and having them on board over objecting to our future plans would be useful.

More fingers pointing to a new stadium.
  7. You’d hope so, but it will probably be a points deduction for next season.
  8. The radio are saying that the match centre have said ‘Views will be views’.
  9. I’ve said this for years, even when people were asking for VAR I said that you’ll just have the same corrupt/incompetent individuals making the decisions.
  10. That’s just an option for financing that they are looking at. To be fair if it helps reduce the clubs liabilities, and they are a minority shareholder, then it could be a positive thing for us.
  11. My apologies for calling you and the other person out. It’s not aimed at you specifically, I just find on here recently there has been a massive increase in talking about odds and betting in ordinary threads. I think it’s overall part of a new culture in football where the two are so linked, that you can’t escape the betting talk when football comes up.
  12. You both sound like Talk Sport going on about odds and betting. Such a shame football discussion is reduced to betting and betting odds so much these days, no wonder gambling is through the roof.
  13. Mr Viagogo and his 100,000 family members.
  14. I’ve applied for pretty much every game, only missed if they didn’t send an email.
  15. Yeah mine was in the junk folder. I’m priority 1.
  16. Yeah it’s worked now. No idea what priority I am, I assume I’ll be in the first band, but we’ll see.
  17. Says my membership is not active.
  18. I can see what happens now. We fall foul of the rules: ‘Newcastle United have agreed to a 3 point deduction and a January window transfer embargo’. Man Utd fall foul of the rule: ‘Man Ut have agreed a 2 day suspended £100k fine’.
  19. I for one am shocked that the clubs whose fanbase widely sing IRA songs including when visiting places like Birmingham and Manchester, as well as their support for Palestine being more linked to anti-semitism amongst their catholic support have supporters who would do this.
  20. It was going to be 7 minutes but Celtic scored and the VAR added the additional minute on. Yes, that’s the whole point, no team who have been top have played their final game away from home for 20 years, because it’s always been an Old Firm team.
  21. Mate they’ve had dodgy decisions go against them for months now, as well as a few against Hearts. Not only that but they’ve been having stupid amounts added on in games which has helped them get late winners or late equalisers. A more damning example is this, for the past 20 years no team who was top of the league going into the split has played their final game away from, that was until Hearts this year.
  22. Those two clubs have bastardised Scottish football over the last 40 years. It’s not just them winning all the titles, it’s them having all the money, it’s them having a league with a pathetic split formula just so they can have 4 games between them whilst other clubs are shut out of a larger league. It’s them who have resulted in Scottish academies being fucked to the point that Scotland have qualified for the World Cup for the first in 30 years by a total fucking fluke. In 40 years the only team to have given those two clubs a creditable challenge has been Hearts, and the Celtic fans who should be celebrating winning the most amount of titles have responded by hitting the players of the team who have dared to challenge them. I feel for Hearts. Part of me wants them to come out fighting and call out the corruption that has let a very poor Celtic side win the SPL, and say they’ll play no part of it, another part of me wants them with Tony Bloom (who I can’t stand) comeback stronger, and make it so them two don’t have a fucking sniff of a trophy for the next 20 years.
