A couple of things I noticed yesterday was that with Ramsdale in goal, our defenders looked a lot more relaxed, especially when receiving the ball and a lot calmer playing it across the back line, even though I think we actually passed back to the keeper much less than what we have done with Pope. It just shows that our defences have more confidence if it is required. I also thought that Miley had a great game, Thiaw will get plaudits for his 2 goals though. More importantly though, within 1 minute we showed what putting the ball into the box from a corner can do. Fuck off with the short corners that usually don’t even end up getting into the box.
