MSN Italia do a league table adjusted by refereeing errors: http://direttaweb.it.msn.com/Controclassifica.html On the left, the actual table. On the right, how the table would look if referees got their decisions correct. Someone should put together a similar table for the Premier League. I wonder where the "top 4" would finish?

I'd say that's worthy of a thread.

Everyone happier knowing we got our business done and out of the way before deadline day? -
Which one of our squad do you also consider a 'cunt'? I'd be amazed if Aaron Lennon wasn't a prize bellend like. Saying that the list of footballers that aren't is probably a lot shorter than the list of those that are. Jenas, King, Defoe, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjčar, O'Hara, Bassong and Bentley all seem like stand out twats as well. Granted, never met any of them.

So, any change in the last 2 days?

He's just afraid that another continent of people will look him up and find that shocking penalty miss.

Aye, good shout. I hear Dyer is looking to move on, too. Malcolm Macdonald is probably worth a punt. He's a free agent.

Wait, what? We're not allowed to do gay jokes any more? Harsh.

Back down the snake to page 2 for you where those questions were first asked Question about where he plays was, other than that I just a lot of masturbation. Do I gather you think he would be a good signing?

RE: Signing Ben Arfa in general... He's a left winger, isn't he? Our best attack option for most of the last two seasons has been the combination of Enrique and Jonas down the left flank. While signing highly rated youngsters is a tactic I'm happy the club are following through on, is signing Ben Arfa really a priority? He's also clearly got some personality issues. We haven't dealt with flouncy twats very well in recent years and I can't see that changing under Hughton. If we had a man manager in the SBR mold then maybe I'd say, "why not?" but as it stands I don't think someone like Ben Arfa is necessarily someone we need around the club... or we need to hire a manager who could handle such players.

Prices can't won't keep going up indefinitely. With the exception of, perhaps, Man City the majority of clubs don't have cash to piss away. Those that try are increasingly finding themselves very fucked very quickly. Our way of doing business is going to be the norm if it isn't already. Maybe we aren't offering enough money to get some of our targets and it might cause us to miss some of them, but if the alternative is spending money we don't have - particularly on players that may or may not be suited to English football - then I prefer our way over Liverpool's.

I realise you were going for the opposite but that sounds like an endorsement of our policy more than anything.

Xisco is pretty solid getting in behind.

It's gone far too quiet, I think something has been said which has calmed everything down. Our club's "shut the fuck up" transfer policy?

It's £44.99 if you sign up now! Aye, I'm paying something like £3 or £4 per month.
-
I'm still paying for it but have only really used it a few times - mainly when there's no coverage anywhere else.

Blackpool were awful and still won 4-0.

Lecce relegated the same season as Newcastle and promoted again as champions the same season as Newcastle. Back in Serie A again this season. Bari managed to stay up too so there will be a couple of derby games to look forward to.

Except most of the players in question were born in Germany or moved here at a very young age. Cacau is the obvious "foreigner", as he came to Germany at the age of 20 or so as a salsa dancer. Klose was born in Poland, but his father is German (under German nationality rules). Questioning their German-ness is much like questioning the Englishness of Rio Ferdinand, Emile Heskey or Jermaine Pennant. Hardly. More like debating whether or not Giggs could/should have played for England. You're trying to turn it into something racial, which it quite clearly isn't. Article maybe poorly researched or use bad examples but the fundamental point isn't controversial in the slightest.

It's been fine. I don't think we're ever going to have any more of those classic World Cups. The game has changed. The top players in the world who'd usually give us those memorable performances are now playing too many games in a season, working too hard, by the time the World Cup comes around they're all knackered. The Nike Curse is pretty much just a reflection of that.

I don't see how that's sickening at all. The writer isn't complaining about people born in the country, just naturalised players. We had exactly the same discussion here regarding Almunia playing for England. Same criticisms of the Irish team in '94. I'm not saying I agree with the article 100% but he has a point about players being born elsewhere and just adopting a nationality for convenience/opportunity. EDIT: However, if you do want to see some genuine xenophobia then look no further than the Hitler references in this thread, ffs.
