Newcastle United 4-4 Luton Town (03/02/24) | Reaction: pg40

No booing around me in the middle of the Gallowgate, there was too much general noise and people had just been chanting for Tino. Anyways, Dan Burn has a place in our team it's just not against players like Luton's right winger today. -
It's absolutely baffling isn't it

Howe got that wrong today like. Start Tino and we don't concede two of those goals imo. I know we don't have much choice at the moment but I thought Miley was out of his depth today as well, game was a bit too physical for him at 17. Few more years and he bosses it. Sean can get in the bin though, so, so poor outside of his two strikes. -
Chelsea have done a Leeds, let's be honest. They've just got a billionaire behind them.

Yep, it's often talked about but it really does feel like this is the bubble bursting moment right here. Really can't see the PL doing much to help either; there'd be complete uproar at this stage given the precedent they set with Everton. Whatever happens it's quite refreshing to know that we're going to be okay

That's a good point actually, any of these get relegated and it just makes it more difficult for them. How will they cope not being the biggest most massive club and "everyones cup final?"
-
It's no wonder you see a lot of players covering their mouths when they speak these days, as stupid as it looks.

We're going to be laughing our tits off one day aren't we

Someone come and get their da

He's got to be one of the cheekiest cunts ever involved in the game.

I particularly enjoyed the bit where Edwards admitted that he was a bit of a cunt at times

Absofuckinglutely fuck that shit.

Why's Joelinton and Bruno's futures uncertain, man
-
Can already hear Daniel Levy's tears hitting the ground.

You'd fucking hope so

If we sell Bruno, Joe, Wilson & Almiron we're going to have one hell of a budget

Yeah, didn't he go to them off the back of a good season with WBA? 34 now, he'll do well to get another Championship club. Could see him somewhere like Wrexham.

Not sure we've got the pulling power for that sort of deal just yet.
-
An elite right winger changes everything. I'd also look to upgrade on Pope and maybe a centre back depending on what happens with Lascelles. A good AM (David Silva / Juan Mata esque) would be very nice but I'd like to see us prioritise elsewhere first.
-
Feel like they sign players based on reputation, bit of a lesser 2017 -2022 Everton about them.
-
It's crazy how bad that move turned out to be. Stoke seems to have been the death of a lot of strikers over the last 15 or so years.
-
Aye. Still think this is a win/win for us, regardless of the sell-on %.
-
Yep, it's complete bullshit and they're sprinting towards the passionless cash cow that they're really after.
-
At the very least they need to increase the margin for error, create some sort of financial 'end zone' whereby once you're in it you cannot make any more transfers. A hard pass / fail line with a ridiculously high level of risk feels a bit too edge of a cliff like for me and surely goes against what the PL are pretending to try to achieve. They're basically saying it's okay if we relegate you and you struggle, but if you do it to yourself then tough titties.
