Wait, they're exchanging physical notes rather than some sort of bank transfer?

Thank fuck this is just an ambassadorial role. Love the man, he was the first Newcastle manager I knew, but for obvious reasons I'd much rather we went for someone like Rafa or Allegri.

What the hell were they thinking

I read that just before, Gullit saying he should give it back to the club Fucking Pardew, man. Nowt is ever straightforward and devoid of controversy with that cunt, is it? He'll be absolutely loving having the spotlight on him as well.

Maybe he saw something in the mentality of a few players that ultimately led to our relegation. I mean technically we should never have gone down with that squad. Individually there were some decent players in that side.

Or they might turn out to be useful contributors when they have more talented players around them. Both were on their way out of the club under Rafa. Mainly because he knew what the fuck he was doing. Truth is you achieve fuck all with people like Shelvey and Ritchie in your teams at PL level. Survival at best. Shelvey would be one of the first I'd ship out tbh. My thoughts exactly. Had we retained Rafa I think we'd have certainly looked to replace Shelvey last summer. I reckon he appreciated Ritchie's commitment and versatility though. He's an asset in that sense and that sense alone. He should not be starting games for us in 2020.

Yes. He's half way to becoming Chris Waddle. There's no excuse for it either. I lived abroad for years and had to talk like that just to be understand, but as soon as me mam called I'd just flick back to normal. I lived away for ages when I was younger and retained the accent. Never once did I want to consciously think about my accent whenever I spoke. I find people that do that sort of thing are weird as fuck. Are they embarassed to sound like they are from where they are?

What a coup for them, Scunthorpe's CEO

Not copy / pasting the entire article as I don't like people doing that, but I'll list the points... A mission statement Newcastle’s non-playing staff would be taken off the government’s furlough scheme Lee Charnley, the managing director, will be asked to remain in his post for the time being, to coordinate the handover Steve Bruce would stay in charge of the first team. Informal overtures have already been made to some supporters, former players and other key figures in the city. Staveley did this last time. A gesture in support of the local NHS hospital is being considered A root and branch reform of Newcastle’s operation will take place. They have already received contact from player agents. Remote meetings are being held regularly. This a long-term investment and there is an understanding that Newcastle will not be able to go toe-to-toe with Liverpool and Manchester City from the outset.

Gerrard's not a fan of Rafa is he?
