  1. Be nice if we officially had a couple of teams on this list by the weekend
  2. “Bobby Robson does a jig of delight on the touch line, and then remembers he’s nearly 69!”
  3. Hopefully they’ll be in beach mode after losing today. Being mathematically safe by the end of the week would be lovely.
  4. Same - did the Norwich pre season game and he spent the whole game booting the chair in front, left it 5 months and he was much more interested in the Cambridge game. Took him to Watford and he was buzzing with the 1-1 as it was “better than losing to Cambridge” Today is game number 4 for him.
  5. I wouldn’t do it before 5 if I’m honest, they’re just not ready for it at that age and could find it intimidating. Taken my 6 year old a couple of times this season though and he loves it but does find it hard to concentrate for the full 90 mins.
  6. Remember the mackems #cans tweet? How’s that worked out for ‘The Lads’?
  7. Tested positive for covid this morning, then “tested negative” this afternoon.
  8. I think we’ll be cautiously ambitious in the summer, with sensible buys like in January. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a net spend of c£120m, with us spending about £150m in total and recouping £30m or so in sales. Can’t see us being reckless and spending over £200m etc. Something along the lines of this would be unreal: Henderson (£20m) Botman (£40m) Paqueta (£50m) Targett (£15m) J.David (£30m) Lingard (Free) Broja (loan) Out: Darlow, Woodman, Lewis, Clark, Hayden, Ritchie, Gayle, Fernandez, Murphy, M Longstaff
  9. Given (a) the price tag with potential FFP limitations and (b) the fact some of the biggest teams in Europe want him, I think we can safely put the Nunez chat to bed. He won’t be coming here.
  10. Jonathan David would suit the mould we’re after. Exciting, young, potential to improve a lot under Howe and probably not quite at the level (yet) where the top four are looking to sign him.
  11. Eriksen would be dreamy but surely hes off back to Spurs.
  12. If we’re going to offer the thick end of £50m for an English CM, I’d much rather go for Connor Gallagher.
  13. Remember when we were this shit. (Caution: May cause Brucie PTSD)
  14. I’d be happy with just not having to see the Relegationometer on the first page of this forum after this season.
  15. Apparently we’re trying to get Neil Bath and Jim Fraser from Chelsea. Never heard of them but apparently they’re the top two bods in their academy.
  16. I honestly think we’ve got enough points now, but a win or two in the next fortnight and we can start running the transfer baths.
  17. I’d be surprised if any of the following were here come September… Darlow Woodman Lewis Clark Fernandez Hayden Gayle Ritchie M Longstaff Dummett May also see Miggy and Murphy leave I think we’ll be looking at a 25 man squad of Dubravka, new GK, Gillespie Trippier, Krafth, Manquillo, Targett, Schar, Burn, Lascelles, new CB Shelvey, Bruno, Joelinton, S Longstaff, Willock, New CM ASM, Fraser, Wilson, Wood, new AM, new winger, new striker (established), new striker (up and coming)
  18. Winning on a Friday night and just being able to enjoy the weekends football is a great feeling.
  19. Krafu did well last night. Won’t be at the club past summer 2023 but bigger priorities this summer than upgrading our 2nd/3rd choice RB.
  20. Imagine how good it will be when we sign Paqueta in the summer too
  21. that’s the shirt from the first half only
  22. If we can somehow get 5 points from the next 3 home games then we’d be pretty much done and dusted.
  23. Just noticed it’s West Ham vs Lyon tonight. I’ll be on Paqueta watch to see if he’s any good.
