  1. so thta would equate to approx 10 points over a season? wouldn't try to use it as anything but a comparison to how we're doing then vs now tool and even then its basic at best since it may not be so much us improving in individual fixtures but who we're facing getting worse etc
  2. 10 goals in 13 and 21 years old and thats all I know. still good to see us actually looking in the domestic market
  3. out of idle curiosity and boredom decided to compare results between this season and last season in the equivilant fixtures (replacing the relegated sides with promoted ones in order of champ table) obviously far from perfect and a lot of other factors but could be a nice simplified way of keeping track of then vs now (would have tried to pull same thing off for 5th place season but it just gets complicated with relegation etc). Thus far in the equivalent fixtures we're 3 points up and 8 goals better off in goal difference (mostly due to the 2-2 draw with liverpool compared to 6-0 loss) City away-same result West Ham (h)-1pt better off +1gd Fulhan (h)- same result Villa (a)- same result Hull (compared to Reading) (h) -result and impact on GD the same Everton (a) -1pt -1GD Cardiff (compared to Wigan) (a)- +3pts +2GD Liverpool (h)- +1pt +6 GD Sunderland (a) -1pt -1gd Chelsea (h)- same pts +1 GD
  4. he's been one of my biggest annoyances in recent times, when he first arrived he scored a few goals and as usual the braindead pundits equated that with being a good defender rather than looking at his actual ability to defend which is lacking.
  5. pity for him Ireland won the race pretty much already......................they can have Keane though!

    Alan Pardew

tbh our bloody awfulness vs City is hardly a new thing goes back even before they got rich
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table I didn't think they've been playing it every game - it just seems he gets excited about it every so often and tries it out for a few games. Should just give it up, I don't think he's going to surprise Wenger with anything. Yeah, it's only been a relatively recent thing. Probably the biggest reason they only got a draw against us, think he'll have to go back to 4-3-3 eventually. Kind of assumed he would've done already. I know quite a few Liverpool fans who aren't happy with it, at least. might look better with Coutinhio back in the 11
  10. Was happy to see Anita come on but for the first time in a couple of years nervous to see Tiote go off. He is back to his best, hopefully he can keep his form. Strangely all his same pirouettes seem to be working out for him now, which exacerbated his previous form in the eyes of fans. Confidence sometimes brings luck. Definitely using the ball better on the whole though. Bar one outrageously s*** hollywood pass he seemed to keep things simple today. Much more like it. That pass man. so he's not quite cut out for a Pirlo type role
  11. see thats where Williamson with MYM works better than our other pairings since MYM has the pace to cover him if he gets exposed compared to Colo who has none and Saylor whos always broken and mental

Dossena is suddenly an important player now? They'll miss catts for my lyk. who else do they actually have at lb? Colback is a better LB than Dossena, despite being a pretty bad LB himself. yeah but he's a decent enough cm which they'd miss putting him at lb since they're not exactly full of talented players.

  14. gash but bloody hard to beat Hull, that said iirc Brady tore Debuchy apart that day. We'd gone ahead...twice! So galling. daft daft game I really would just put it down to one of those weird days everybody gets now and then.

  19. no I never want to see them play together after that Everton game. Both talented but I just don't think they work well together.
  20. They were poor, nothing we did made them pass to our players when they had plenty of time on the ball. think your being harsh personally but hey to each their own opinion.
  21. cech got a vital touch tbf
  22. great game now do it more often! your big strong and not lacking in pace or footballing ability don't vanish into thin air!
  23. it was almost perfect too to Remy iirc.
