i'd argue Qatar/Bein loses face in that scenario as KSA has been able to do what they feel like and bein loses a large rich region from its various tv deals
-
If the Premier League agree to take Saudi as its own broadcast region and agree to compensate BEIN for their region being reduced in size it could perhaps be possible to do it now. As BEIN would still keep their MENA TV deal at a reduced rate, just speculating of course. would require BeIN to agree to it and well why the hell would they agree to it? Well money, they're in the shit financially and right now they get absolutely nothing for their license from Saudi. They'd be getting a large discount for losing a broadcast area that's completely worthless to them. I just can't see them (or anyone from Qatar) giving KSA an inch in anything regardless of cost to themselves. Hell I sure as hell wouldn't, not with the shit they've been pulling with the piracy and blocking any legal action in KSA to stop it.

regardless of any future tv deals it won't change the fact they can't do anything about it for next season as the bein contract would be water tight in that regard
-
I'll say this for the premier league, they are very good at not letting leaks out since nobody has a clue whats going on or where its at only educated guesses
-
when your an absolute dictatorship every bit of policy is based on the whims of the dictator and this seems like the kind of move of someone who didn't get their way
-
when the entire takeover has centered around piracy and tv rights and by banning bein KSA have just dropped the value of beins rights in the MENA region significantly
-
social media really has made everything worse and for very limited benefit, ban the whole thing nothing of value will be lost.
-
what makes it worse is they started the whole investigation after the 5 year time bar which makes them look even more incompetent as they are somehow unaware of their own rules
-
it reigned supreme either way since FFP was a pull up the ladder behind the big clubs move
-
that humilating for UEFA, hell argument to be made it kills FFP

City - A Southampton - H Everton - A Not a chance its unlikely but City have a cup semi final which is obviously far more important to them than a random league match so they'll rotate the team and Southampton and Everton while decent since the return have nowt to play for (and a potential top 10 finish is not a great motivating factor)
-
city southampton and everton (order may not be correct), not impossible they could get 6 points, everton and southampton have nowt to play for ultimately
-
mostly because how bad chelsea, spurs, arsenal and man utd have been to varying degrees
-
what a moron
-
assuming they can go ahead, not exactly a guarantee in the current climate
-
why did it take so long? isn't there a disciplinary panel surely they could have met via zoom or whatever to sort all the bans out once football restarted
-
stranger things have happened but no I will not be donating to my bookies retirement fund

Will completely ruin the game Hyperbole much? Maybe a little aye When each team are potentially changing half their outfield players in a game I’m just gonna lose interest. It just puts me in mind of a friendly and how the game tends to die out when a load of subs are made. secondary and obv less important as a betting man, markets like goalscorers, players carded etc are gonna be less of an interest as it’s now more than likely a player will be subbed early I can understand the 5 subs just now because of 3 games in a week just now, other than I just don’t see the need tbh it might be necessary next season too, they have to try and fit in a full season before around the middle of may with the euros coming up after and they're going to be starting a month late (probably) and thats without a proper preseason or even much of a break after this season ends. Theres going to be a lot of midweek games for all teams and then theres the european competitions for some teams and god help them if theres a second wave
-
yeah thats not going away and neither is the "water break" (which actually I don't mind so much)

Germany's rule was drawn up when there was no private ownership already in place (apart from particular clubs, Leverkusen etc). You can't put the genie back in the bottle here. oh I know (and hell even in German its hardly fool proof with RB Leipzig as an example) but one can dream or at the very least ban fucking countries from getting involved since it drags all the geopolitical baggage with them You'd think states not being able to own clubs would have been a pretty easy rule to put in place. unfortunately it involves getting 14/20 clubs to agree to put it in place when the only thought going through the respective owners minds is "well what if some random rich gulf country wants to throw money at me for my club don't want to close the door on that"

god just wish they'd introduce the 50+1 rule as they have in germany to avoid shit like this.
