I rate him myself, he was doing well at Birmingham only to get the boot for Zola and has kind of done well with Derby, but he needs to settle down and build a reputation and stop going from club to club. Stoke could be a good fit for him mind. I think he's a bit of a dick, decent manager but from what I think he wouldn't sign at brum because he was trying to get other jobs and he's pretty much ditching Derby instantly don't have much of an issue with managers doing that tbh, clubs are mighty quick to pull the trigger on them after all so why should they show any loyalty

He's actually managed and won things which automatically makes him a better choice than Arteta though the impression it gives me isn't that Arsenal want to go all out to be the best around but try to go back to making money existing in perpetual 4th place

It's not harsh, Moyes and Allardyce produce dull football teams that don't do much more than barely survive. West Ham seem to see themselves as better than that for some reason, not sure it's justified but fair enough if that's what they want. Everton can certainly do better. whatever about Allardyce but Moyes Everton did a fair bit better than barely survive over a long period of time with next to no cash once he was given time to build.

There's no surprise they wanted Marco Silva when they sacked Koemann, and he's now available. Don't even need to go into Allardyce's horrible football and how much the fans hated him to answer this question seemed kinda obvious Allerdyce was always just keeping the seat warm for Marco Silva from day one

Bit harsh on Moyes considering he did the job required in a reasonably comfortable manner and the football was alright, not terrible whenever I watched them anyway. Suppose it worked out for him anyway since he'll no doubt be back in a job around november whenever someone gets worried about relegation and his reputation is in a better spot than it was post Sunderland

I meant in terms of kicking on. I’d be kind of disappointed if I was an Arsenal fan with Arteta and don’t believe everything you here or read about Arsenal fans with Wenger. The majority become disillusioned, but most would have still supported him had he remained if not exactly overjoyed. It wasn’t like us with Pardew... not sure on most fans would have supported him staying on but I'm fairly confident it would never have gotten to the Pardew stage. Next guy won't have the luxury of that kind of patience as anybody but Wenger would have been hounded out for underachieving years ago. Thus I'm baffled as to why Arsenal are going for an unproven novice when surely they could attract someone like Ancelotti?

its a difficult one, on the one hand of coarse you want your club to compete at the highest level possible and play against the best teams but on the other hand most clubs in the premier league aren't competing are they? Maybe I'm looking back with rose colored glasses but my god for all the money being spent by most premier league teams on players the standards seem to be getting much worse. It just feels like the mid-table has vanished and the league is divided between the good teams and everyone else is roughly as shit as each other.

Stays like that we’re mathematically safe as I figure seen loads of people on twitter worrying about when we're "mathematically" safe. Who cares man, we're safe 99.99999999% I'll feel better once its 100%, it being nufc I can't rule out the stupidly unlikely things happening to us because they have a tendency to anyway.

Expecting a Custis defence in 3,2,1........ you weren't wrong

sports teams in america do have a habit of moving around though having the kind of distance as this seems a bit ludicrous

Odd for it to go to a real court first usually football clubs and players avoid real law scenario's as much as possible.

I remain baffled as to why Chris Coleman thought that Sunderland was a good career choice

people know what's going on when it goes to the TMO in rugby, ref's fully mic'd up and you can hear what he's looking for the tv ref to look for, whereas the current implementation has nobody but the ref and his asssistants know what the fuck he's looking for and god help you if your at the stadium and want to know whats going on
-
thing is I can't see someone like Allegri going there without Arsenal being in the champions league already
-
some of the criticism is a bit ott but its not unwarranted, for a good many years it seemed arsenal had the exact same season every year and it was frustrating me to see the exact same mistakes year after year due to wenger's stubbornness so god knows how Arsenal fans felt. And fact is Arsenal having been in major decline for the past few years
-
its been overdue, obviously was a fantastic manager but isn't really anymore. Think he'd do well as an international manager
-
is that even allowed in the bloody rules?

I'm going to have to look it up now, but I have no idea what division Notts County are in The Mackems are going to be even more forgotten about on a national scale than they are now, that is not going to sit well with them. They're in League Two but close to automatic promotion / fairly nailed on for play-offs. good to see Nolan doing well in management, does Smith still play for them too?
