I like Dummett, while it would be nice to have a better option to attack from the left back position I'm entirely fine with having a solid defender there
-
looked miles better playing with Lascelles instead of Clarke which was a cb partnership which made them both look worse than they were

You know I didn't think he was capable of playing central midfield all that well and the only position he was half way effective was behind the striker but what a turn around in form. Never happier to be wrong
-
one hell of a team performance apart from Dúbravka its really hard to pick out players who stood out since everyone put in so much effort
-
so he seems rather good

its the midfield that worries me, Shelvey and Diame wouldn't have been my first choice as a pairing

And I thought Juve's crest change was bad, good lord thats the single worst crest in the history of everything

Man Utd come out on top mind. They lose a bench player for someone who'll be one of their best players. dunno arsenal at least get a replacement for someone who they could have lost for absolutely nowt in 6 months if he decided to wait for the free transfer. Then again it says a lot about Arsenal that Sanchez decided to skip the free transfer even larger payday he'd get to avoid being at Arsenal anymore

dunno to me this seems a bit of a silly thing to base your interest in a club on, sure it can help but ultimately managers come managers go especially in this day and age of football no sense getting that attached to one. As for everything else thats happened in the last few days, I've come to a conclusion that I think they're both bullshit artists.

I do wonder if this bid was ever serious, everyone on here could have told her 250m would never be enough yet thats (allegedly) the highest offer that was made?

surprised he hasn't worked out there, thought that was one of the better buys in the summer
-
As individuals sure but is he better in City's team ? i'm not so sure tbh, what makes City so good is they have two pacey as f*** wingers stretching teams allowing Silva and De Bruyne s*** tonnes of space. Sanchez likes to come inside and get on the ball more and does less work off the ball to stretch defences. If this happened last summer i would have understood it, City came off a disappointing season where they were incredibly wasteful in front of goal but now i'm not sure. Sterling has massively stepped up his game, Aguero has been more consistent and Jesus continued where he picked up from after joining last January. Really don't think he's necessary now. true but can you ever really have too many good players when you have 0 concerns about cash? And with Jesus out for a few months Sanchez offers options to rotate players around to cover Aguero or hell play up top himself. Also as has been said stop your rivals from getting him for nowt in 6 months

collective insanity from it all

Stoke City vs Newcastle United - 1/1/18, 3pm KO.

I was wondering if I'd gone insane there for a moment -
could just be simple rotation, lot of games in a short space of time and the fa cup vs everton on friday so need a strong enough team.

It was a bad tackle, but no malice intended IMO. But the ref and linesman clearly saw it and a foul was given, so it can't even be changed can it? I think that rule has changed, i'm pretty sure the ref can have another look now if it was bad enough. Not that bad a challenge imo for that to happen. wouldn't be surprised if it was changed, right on the border of yellow and red for me
