  1. Looks about 20 stone here.
  2. Looks like he was set to start judging by the training photos posted on Flickr. Which makes me think how easy it is for opposing manager to guess our team. Every set of training photos is non-bibs vs bibs and, unless there's a late injury, the non-bibs are always the first XI.
  3. Diouf getting a red right at the end, Rangers 3rd.
  4. Bougherra about to get a second yellow so tries to take the card from the ref.
  5. In my "non-football-related Entertainers XI", he'd partner Shola Ameobi up front. I'd have Balotelli and Bendtner upfront together. Aye Balotelli's the captain of non-football-related entertainment.
  6. This is going to be 5 a side by the end of the night.
  7. Loved Walter Smith collaring McCoist like a naughty school-boy.
  8. They're definitely short of bodies in that area. What with just Alonso, Diarra, Khedira and Gago at the minute.

    Football pet hates

Just a boring, sickening example of needless self-promotion. The media love it. It's the same with that comment from that Journo who said Spurs would definitely win Serie A. Even if the Premier League is, as they say, the 'Best league in the World'. Who genuinely gives a f***? It's a horrible cesspit built on vile amounts of money. What are we supposed to be taking pride in? The legions of foreign mercenaries inwhich the successful sides are built on? The extortianate prices and levels of marketing? The elite group of teams that are supposed to be 'representing' all of us fans stuck with smaller clubs? The fixed pecking order that is a direct result of their hype-machine centred around the big clubs? The league certainly doesn't represent me in any way, infact apart from Newcastle I struggle to find much of an interest in the rest of the league apart from who I hate more than the next team. I find anybody who gobbles up the Sky bullshit and sees the 'best league in the world' nonsense as some kind of badge of honour for English football fans to be pathetic. Morons. Good post that like. Bit in bold is pretty much my view too but I'm a bitter young thing. Snap. Honestly don't have a clue about most that went on in the PL last season, was completely disinterested. Barely even bothered to watch MotD.
  10. I understand it does happen all the time, "we could've been xth in the table if we'd beat y and z". It's just much more annoying when you've taken just 2 points from 5 of the easiest home games in the season and at the same time potentially being only a couple points away from Europe come May.
  11. Was going to say extra time would be nice in this Everton game but it's not a replay is it, just being played midweek due to the silly FA Cup schedule this year.
  12. One of the few areas you can really make an argument against Hughton. In hindsight those games against Blackpool, Blackburn, Stoke, Wigan, Fulham could all prove costly and at the opposite end of the table to where everyone imagined. For a while people have brushed them under the carpet because we'd been performing well enough to stay out of the relegation fight and Europe was nothing more than a very distant thought but, come the end of the season they may be the difference between, considering the circumstances of the season, a really massive achievement for the club.
  13. He hardly touched him ffs. The horrible little t***'s always looking for something to whinge and rant about it seems. from the Telegraph: http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01837/ferguson2_1837044c.jpg Out of line: Jack Wilshere blasted Barry Ferguson for tapping Laurent Koscielny on thehead after the winning goal Tapping being the key word.
  14. Taylor just went into his Geordie hero mode, bombing around all over the place. http://cache2.asset-cache.net/xc/109454461.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF87892102A727B1636DE2E6A39073781E2BE1AD75DE2AD3624F9F3B2E0AEC06D5B9B021

    Sunderland...

I'd love to see Wearside and RiverWear respond to that, because they conveniently ignore that point when they talk about money being available in the summer... Are you not allowed to loan players from next season? It's a system that is working well for us and we are not doing anything wrong by signing players through this method, some might say it's abusing the system and possibly it is, but it means strengthening the squad without much capital outlay and you will always get good players through loans. It can be difference between a good first 12/13 players and having a good squad and I think more and more clubs will be going down this route. It always gives a club the chance to look at a player before committing millions of pounds on him.Look at Welbeck for example, hardly any club would have paid big money for him last summer and we will have paid a small loan fee and he has been a major success and if Ferguson is willing to let him go I'm sure we will be first in line to get him, while at the same time a club like Man Utd will be willing to lend us more players in future due to Ferguson knowing we will play the young players. If 6 goals in 20 games is a "major success" then fair enough. Welbeck has played the majority of his games in midfield and would walk into most teams outside the top 5.If you want to go down the route of judging him on goals then he is on par with Wayne Rooney. I'll go down that route; you'll be hard pushed to find anyone calling Wayne Rooney a 'major success' this season.
  16. It'll be our luck that we'll somehow get to 7th and get fuck all for it, cheers Oba.

  20. The last time they ran one of these it was a drug fuelled orgy involving 2 players who the article stated had taken no drugs. Hopefully this one's just as sensational.
