Nerve-wracking as owt was that day. I can remember Dabizas getting away with a blatant handball after we'd gone 1 ahead. Did Shearer get them both that day - first one was a pen wasn't it? I know it was 2-0 aet... Can't remember anything about that match (well apart from that goal) but after reading this I can now remember, watching it at home and, the handball being clear as day.

Your right, but your issuing more and more shares to a club that is still worth £60m for example. It's a bit like qualitative easing, the Bank of England has been printing money into the economy which makes every note you earn less worthy. If sunderland continue like this they are on the road to ruin. So because Sunderland aren't a PLC and have one owner who assumes 100% control it is put simply, a personal loan that has been worded in a more fancy manner than the way Ashley does it? And the mackems fall for it as they fail to see past this fancy wording.

How does converting loans to shares actually work? If Short has 100% control does it not just mean he's paying the loans off himself in a similar way to how Ashley has paid off our debts with a 'personal loan' to the club only it's been worded differently to show Short in a better light?

Does Short not have 100% ownership?

You cannot sell Shola now man! He's part of the furniture.

Port Vale team bus was on the way to Aldershot. The manager and assistant manager have had a massive bust up and both ended up getting off.

He learnt his trade from the very, very best.

Nah, contracts like that are reserved for the Messi's, Fabregas' and Tiote's of this world.
-
The club have realised the predicament their in with Jose and Barton's contracts so are moving to make sure that doesn't happen again IMO, hence the 5/6 year contacts.

Love him even more after seeing his interview, I'd never heard him speak before.

First away game was the Cardiff semi vs ManU. I was only 13 and despite losing 4-1 the support absolutely blew me away that day. To see that many Geordies in Cardiff for a game we were pretty much nailed on to lose and then to see the manic celebrations when Shola netted (to make it 3-1 ). Wow.

that goal was from a 694yd pass from didi hamman. Aye! Was FA Cup, not league as well. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/fa_cup/285482.stm

English fans need more flags/banners/etc.

I have a strange memory of watching us vs Blackburn away in the league cup on a little television in some nondescript room inside SJP when I was about 7/8. Saha scored for us. Were beam-backs like this normal before the age of illegal foreign internet streams?

It's ridiculous how good City's attack is yet how conservative Mancini is. 3 defensive midfielders in the prem!
