  1. Vieira was a great leader on the pitch and in the dressing room; that's something that translates as a managerial skill at least (then again Keane was a leader too). I can't certainly see him taking shit from the higher-ups either. Dunno why they suddenly go for a hail mary given the field of exciting and more proven managers though.
  2. I'm too addicted to this place I just sang the ''being a Barça fan is the best thing there is'' song too!
  3. I'm celebrating! I posted that Carver pic a month ago so I just had to grab it again.
  4. Juan Trinchador http://s24.postimg.org/xjfzrpu79/John_carver_3176964b.jpg Arnt you out on the lash Yeah, I am a bit tipsy.

  6. Appointing legendary midfielders that have only managed a B side never works.
  7. Yeah, he was very timid in his first two seasons, but under Martino he looked way more confident and had an excellent year. Can't say I'm unhappy about trading him for Suárez, but he deserves the success he's getting at Arsenal.
  8. Let me see... he's got 69 caps, has been at every international tournament since 2008 (missed the 2010 WC due to injury), and started in the last EC qualifying match...
  9. I sort of miss Sánchez, such a quality and indefatigable player; but then again no way we could fit him with the front three we have now.
  10. Well, at least brummie won't regret missing on the ticket now.
  11. He looks fat, or is he just top-heavy?
  12. I would usually want brummie to win; but I'm not sure whether he will feel happy or miserable.
  13. I don't see why Spain wouldn't vote for Blatter; they have had each other's backs for a while and Blatter has elected again our president as FIFA vice president. There was even talk a few years ago that he was being groomed to succeed Blatter.
  14. It looks like they want to keep Carver as a coach or assistant. I can't think of a more uncomfortable environment that being demoted and having to work for the guy that took my place; if this happened to me I would resign.
  15. But the president of UEFA voted for Qatar and stands by that decision, these reptilian f***s don't care about some peasant workers dying in the desert. Let's not forget Russia is part of Uefa as well. It's not like UEFA aren't to blame. Platini only wanted the Prince of Jordan there because he's his friend and he'd get his idea through. None of these guys even care about the sport, they're making a big fuzz about it now to increase their powers. Figo should've stayed in the election and he'd probably have been the best option for transparency in the organization, but what UEFA federations were willing to back him? Can't have been many. There's no way UEFA is a great organization either. If I'm not mistaken VI said Spains FA president might be under investigation as well. UEFA is a damnable organization, and they are certainly fond of money. I'm lucky to be a fan of a club that has come out on top, but look at the state of European football versus 20 years ago and tell me it's better.
  16. Is he on holidays now? Mankind needs a Squires cartoon of the FIFA arrests.
  17. People are f***ing dying in the hundreds building f***ing football stadiums in the middle of the desert. It boggles the mind how this can be brushed aside so easily with fluff talk.
  18. Wanted to make myself clear Great buzz in the city overall. Wish we submitted the Camp Nou to host more finals - even if we don't end up playing in them, but over here it's considered a bad jinx to host a final in your own stadium.
  19. Just had a stroll and the city is brimming with Athletic fans. Amazing atmosphere. They probably want this more than us, there's talk they will outnumber us tonight. I still want it, though.
  20. Four domestic cup finals today FA Cup DFB Pokal Coupe de France Copa del Rey
  21. When he took Evra on and went flying down the wing. THE GREYHOUND THEY SAID Goodluck Jonas, thanks for getting us back to the premier league, and for keeping us up this year I remember when he was still at Mallorca, and they came to Camp Nou. He stole the ball in midfield and went down a lightning run down the wing, leaving players behind with that weird running gait of his, until Puyol ultimately fouled him in the box. Penalty! He then asked to take it and proceeded to shot the tamest penalty I have ever seen, the ball rolling weakly into Valdés' hands. Jonás in a nutshell. Love the guy, somehow.
  22. Gonna miss his hilariously melancholic faces. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/webimage/1.6476913.1393951764!/image/1528191343.jpg "I'm happy"
  23. It's not surprising, our president is also a FIFA vice president. I suppose you can guess who appointed him.
