  1. Nàstic and Oviedo promoted to Liga Adelante. Chuffed to see a Catalan team go up and Oviedo slowly getting back where they belong.
  2. Also, I don't know how they have calculated this one, but it's interesting: http://s21.postimg.org/b264ck9uv/Captura.jpg Player investment needed to become a Top 3 team, by league. Millions of €.
  3. I love the fact Germany is called Ale Mania. What's France, Cheese Frenzy? The German tribe of the Allemagni was the closest to the borders of the Roman Empire; that's why a lot of Latin languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Catalan...) derive its word for Germany from it.
  4. One of our papers publishes today a raft of fun football stats. I found this one particularly striking; % of population that claims to be football fans, per country. http://s18.postimg.org/46v7j8qdl/Captura.jpg Nigeria Reino Unido = United Kingdom; Alemania = Germany. I guess all other country names don't need translation.
  5. Yeah, that's my fear too. He ticks all those Ashleyastic boxes, while outwardly the club can claim it's an "ambitious" appointment given McClaren's won two trophies and played in an EL final.
  6. The best for me; considering it was a final too and against good opposition Best part of it all is that CRonaldo would never do something like that. Amirite Froggy? I was talking to a friend about this last night, can anyone remember a memorable Cronaldo goal? Long-rangers (Porto)/free-kicks(Pompey) mainly. Fulham. Late winner. Ran from inside his own half. What year? The f*** does that matter for? Go on YT and search for Cristiano Ronaldo best solo goals. There's loads where he beats many players and finishes. Such short memories. Ronaldo outscored him again this year too. What a f***ing goal mind. By three goals while Ronaldo took like 10000000 pens, stop the f***ing presses there
  7. I should be used to it, but I can't, I'm still in shock about how good he was yesterday. Two goals, running our attacking unit from the hole, that goal. THAT goal. I'm going to be so depressed when he retires.
  8. A Real Madrid vice president has slipped and informally confirmed Benítez's signing during a meeting with a fan group.
  9. I will also admit that I was against appointing Guardiola because he was "unproven"; so I know fuck all.
  10. Vieira was a great leader on the pitch and in the dressing room; that's something that translates as a managerial skill at least (then again Keane was a leader too). I can't certainly see him taking shit from the higher-ups either. Dunno why they suddenly go for a hail mary given the field of exciting and more proven managers though.
  11. I'm too addicted to this place I just sang the ''being a Barça fan is the best thing there is'' song too!
  12. I'm celebrating! I posted that Carver pic a month ago so I just had to grab it again.
  13. Juan Trinchador http://s24.postimg.org/xjfzrpu79/John_carver_3176964b.jpg Arnt you out on the lash Yeah, I am a bit tipsy.

  15. Appointing legendary midfielders that have only managed a B side never works.
  16. Yeah, he was very timid in his first two seasons, but under Martino he looked way more confident and had an excellent year. Can't say I'm unhappy about trading him for Suárez, but he deserves the success he's getting at Arsenal.
  17. Let me see... he's got 69 caps, has been at every international tournament since 2008 (missed the 2010 WC due to injury), and started in the last EC qualifying match...
  18. I sort of miss Sánchez, such a quality and indefatigable player; but then again no way we could fit him with the front three we have now.
  19. Well, at least brummie won't regret missing on the ticket now.
  20. He looks fat, or is he just top-heavy?
  21. I would usually want brummie to win; but I'm not sure whether he will feel happy or miserable.
  22. I don't see why Spain wouldn't vote for Blatter; they have had each other's backs for a while and Blatter has elected again our president as FIFA vice president. There was even talk a few years ago that he was being groomed to succeed Blatter.
  23. It looks like they want to keep Carver as a coach or assistant. I can't think of a more uncomfortable environment that being demoted and having to work for the guy that took my place; if this happened to me I would resign.
