  1. As in he'll move back to CM as his legs start to go? He's more and more becoming our main playmaker nowadays, even when playing on the right. The last six months he's had have been ridiculous in that regard. There's been plenty of games where he's finished with the most touches in the team (a privilege apportioned to Xavi before that).
  2. Do you plan on actually keeping Samper when the loan ends? seems like most of these loans don't seem to end up with players coming back and breaking through. It's just a rumor, to be honest, might turn out to be bull. Rafinha just returned from a successful loan at Celta, anyway. There was a time that being loaned out meant we had given up on the player, but we seem to be changing our policy. Samper won't be at Barça B next season, that's for sure.
  3. With Xavi leaving, we need a top-drawer CM. I see a lot of people claiming we already have it and it's Messi, but we still need one.
  4. All loans must last until the end of the season in La Liga. Not sure if we could loan him abroad though.
  5. "Sport" reporting that we have bought Aleix Vidal and we'll announce it next week. Apparently he'll agree to just train with us until our ban expires in January. He's had a tremendous season with Sevilla, so I hope it's true. There's talk we might loan Samper to them as part of the payment.
  6. I love how it's sponsored by FIFA, and they can't avoid making the trailer about money
  7. Yeah, same with Jémez. You can't take results on isolation without looking at the team's squad and expectations. By the same account, I can't judge McClaren's Derby stint properly. I honestly care way too little about the C'ship to know whether Derby's squad merited better than 8th place or not.
  8. He's signed names like Mendieta, Diego & Hasselbaink so I don't think it should be too much of an issue. (as if we were ever going down the big-signings route). They beat us at signing Mendieta. I was fuming at the time, fucking Middlesbrough beating us in the transfer market
  9. Not surprising considering they have literally no fans. Yet they manage to stay up year after year. It's like an itch that just won't go away. Pointless club.
  10. Also, Mike gives me stick for not celebrating when we win shit, and that's because I try to contain myself on here!
  11. Flores is a keep things organized and let the guys upfront come up with something kinda manager. He's hardly a terrible manager, but nothing too exciting. People remember how he won the EL with Atlético - which was a big deal for them - but he got them nowhere near the CL spots in the league. And I'm talking a team that sported a frontline of Agüero and Forlán, easily one of the best in the continent. I think he will be fine for Watford, though.
  12. So fucking nervous for tonight. Pulse racing already.
  13. Emery signs a new contract with Sevilla, running until 2017.
  14. He won the EL with Atlético, which was quite a big deal at the time. Their first trophy in 15 years. EDIT: Disco'd
  15. Quique Flores is hardly a manager to get excited about tbf.
  16. I can't see what's wrong with it; if Elche have competed without following the rules, they deserve their punishment. Eibar in particular are extremely well-run.
  17. Confirmed: Elche have been relegated to Liga Adelante due to debt to the taxman. They can still appeal the decision, but it's increasingly looking like curtains for the club; they also have outstanding debt with players and staff that could see them relegated again to Segunda B. Eibar will now stay in the top division.
  18. Still. 2003-2005 era is a glorious mess of manager after manager. That's where I got my misses.
  19. Except that he wasn't managing the Old Firm. It's like winning the SPL with Dundee. McClaren's record is very spotty, but winning the Dutch league with Twentee was a damn impressive achievement.
