Current players you think might make good managers

Carles Puyol already said he's more interested in a career as DoF, he's even been taking courses to that extent. I'd have him back at the club in any capacity he wanted, tbf. They gave him a figurehead position as aidé to our DoF but he quit because he wanted to learn and do real work. That's the kind of work ethic he has. -
Same. There'd at least be some sort of conversation about her. Something like "Was that Taylor Swift?" "Yeah I think it was." "Well that's surprising." So you're wrong VI. Hey, I clearly said "if she wasn't famous" in my claim. So not wrong

Bartra's seldomly played there. He's not quick enough imho.

That maybe but he's still by far your best option and that will be made very obvious when crap like Montoya is starting next season. Tbh I think Alves is a victim of his own success, he's dropped off significantly but he's still one of the better RBs around. That may say more about the position itself than anything else but still. What will we do is tie up somebody in the summer, and get by using Adriano/Montoya until January. I can live with that. We did offer him a new contract, but he refused it. He probably has a fat paycheck awaiting him at PSG and I understand he'd rather take that - it's gonna be his last big contract.

Wish he aimed his crosses that well.

Alves' agent has officially announced he's leaving Barça at the end of the season. He's given us a lot, but his time is over.

Because they are usually very intelligent and as players could see the whole pitch. Lends quite well to coaching success. Is that backed by evidence, though? Let's take a look at current active most successful managers. Guardiola - deep lying playmaker Ancelotti - midfielder (I remember him being deployed in several positions) Mou - Not much of a footballing career but he was a midfielder IIRC Del Bosque - Defensive midfielder Simeone - Defensive midfielder Not a large sample, you might be onto something. -

Interesting, what makes you say so? (Siem de Jong being a good manager, I'm aware you could replace Carver with a monkey throwing poo at a tactics board and it would be an improvement) -

Paco Jémez was a burly centreback and nowadays he is one of the most positive managers around. So yeah, it's pretty hard to tell. That said, Xavi will manage us some day, I have little doubt. -
All the articles people post on here - childish grammar aside - seem to boil down to this: "XXXXX could happen. However, it could also not happen." Hard to get it wrong that way

Taylor Swift is a twig of a woman. If she wasn't famous you wouldn't notice her on the street.
-
That's a pretty big precedent.

Congratulations Lee, proving that you don't understand the definition of the word "boycott." Basically this piece condenses to "Some fans will boycott, other fans won't boycott. It's up to each fan's personal opinion." What a f***ing retard this guy is. Still no sign OF intelligent life in his body. Can't get past that random "OF" capitalization. Makes no sense at all, even if he wanted to stress that word Doesn't anybody proofread what he writes?
-
Nothing strange about that. He'd probably start for us.

Taylor Swift isn't remotely hot, as WAGs go. Although I believe St Ledger is the one being the WAG here.
-
Jémez has done such an amazing job at Rayo. Looks like he's leaving them at the end of the season, I'm looking forward to him having more resources to work with.

What happened with Defour?

I'm worried about brummie, so many goals so suddenly. It's like giving a bottle of bourbon to somebody who's been dry for years.
-
Atlético cruises past Real Sociedad at home, 2-0. Since Simeone's arrival, Atlético have had clean sheets in exactly 50% of their games.
-
Still remember when Ashley Cole almost crashed his car because Arsenal only offered him 50k/week.
-
Zidane has admitted Real Madrid are tracking him, too.

Absolutely not, Sackpardew was a great campaign. It backed up its claims quite well and the slogans and actions were good and reasoned; it didn't came across as hysterical. Was the "we want a club that tries" banner part of it? I think it summed up the sentiment pretty well. The 5th place season was three years ago, followed by two pretty miserable seasons. People deserve to have fun watching football, the "know your place and don't complain" mentality in current football (extends to stuff like abusive ticket prices in spite of huge TV contracts) is poisonous It's always nice to see fans fighting against that.
