He was about pace and technique; he was a monster for Deportivo, really. After leaving NUFC he actually had a good season with Málaga on loan from Ajax, which prompted them to sign him permanently. He lost himself definitely after that, though, and they ended up paying off his contract and releasing him.

Luque was an amazing player. That said, after he left NUFC he had a lot of discipline problems with Málaga (including being caught often on the p*ss), so there may be good motives for his ostracism while at NUFC.

God alone knows what the spaniards will make of Stoke vs NUFC Not exactly el classico It's one of the channels that shows foreign leagues. I guess there's not much to choose from on a Monday. I'm determined to break my duck and see NUFC lose away for the first time.

This thing is on TV here, so I will watch. Be warned though, I have *never* seen NUFC lose an away game on the telly.

To be honest we were quite cack before he took over us, and had us play some good football for a few seasons and won the league for the first time in 10 years. His success was a bit short-lived - but we were also quite unstable these days. That said, I would go nowhere near him in 2014, particularly since he hasn't managed in... 10 years? Sir Bobby managed until his 70s, but he didn't leave the game and was able to keep learning and adapting.
