  1. Anyway, my vote is for Paul Heyman.

    Soccer.

Heh, the US will have better PL coverage than Spain now. I'll better move back there.
  3. Surprised to see Montagnier getting so many votes, wasn't aware he was known outside La Liga. He had a rough start at Real Sociedad but they are one of the best teams to watch in La Liga right now.
  4. Amorebieta used to be decent, but he's de-evolved into a clumsy oaf lately, possibly his head was turned as he ran down his contract to get a big money move, but he isn't the player he used to. Pogba linked to Real Madrid today in Marca, together with a few other DMs. Slow news week so they have to come up with something.

Feel better about this one. Just watched a RAW rerun and I just realized this lad looks like Paul Bearer's long lost son.
  6. Hasn't had a good season, but injury hasn't helped. Yesterday was probably his best game of the season. Personally think he'll be great, but he needs time. Pleased about yesterday, Alexis was excellent too. I wish Tello had more to his game so he could be a fixture of the first team, but he was devastating yesterday. We need 3 wins in the next 7 games to clinch the title now.
  7. Considering im not technically a NUFC fan Ill spare you guys the pain and go there myself to check. Its basically 9000 seperate threads all about the game, dont know if theyre so excited they cant contain themselves to one thread, or just lack the brainpower to organize everything into one thread.. Its quite laughable how small time they are, I mean one guy even went ahead to make a thread called "Best day of my life" and then write "by a country mile" in it. Imagine if they ever qualify for europe xD This lot are even worse than Espanyol fans. Way worse. Would probably top myself if Espanyol put 3 past us, mind.
  8. Alexis has been mint the last few games, imho. Should be starting in the semis. I will even change my avatar if he scores today.
  9. Thing is "El Loco" and stability don't seem to go hand-by-hand either. All things point to him leaving Athletic at the end of the season, with a divided dressing room. He's a genius manager mind, but man management isn't his forte.
  10. When are Puyol and/or Mascherano due back? I thought you missed either of them massively yesterday, Adriano looked every bit an attacking FB at CB. Mascherano has an outside chance of making the second leg, same with Puyol. Absolute no confidence in facing any of the teams in the draw with just one fit natural CB, goes without saying. Would there be any chance Abidal could be risked? Anyway on the plus side I can now go and watch Barca reserves v Levante next week since it's been moved to Saturday. Hasn't kicked a ball in over a year and just survived a serious sickness. Can't see him getting anything other than feel good minutes. I'd die for a Dortmund-Barça semis or final.

  12. I pulled that from The Simpsons, all credit to them
  13. How much do they pad tax in Spain now? Remember that 28% rule that was threatened to be quashed a few years ago. It was quashed 3 years ago, except for contracts signed before it (like Cronaldo's, one of the reason's RM are dragging their feet on a new one). Now max tax is 54%
  14. We were awful last night, no excuses about it. Still a half-lame Messi was enough to get us the semis but we'll need far far more than that to have a chance to lift the trophy. We have two weeks to regroup and get players back from injuries. We still have had some truly brilliant performances this season so certainly think we're not finished yet. Alba's class, one of our standout players this season. Bit of a cunt, yeah.
  15. Thanks. Are we your favorite English club VI? Yeah. Mostly because of this place, really. Didn't really have much of an affiliation with it or any other English club before (always been a big fan of English football though).
  16. Was at the game. Both Alexis and Cesc were bought to be what they were yesterday: our plan B. Cesc was never really intended as a Xavi's replacement (Thiago is groomed for that role) but as a more direct threat from midfield compared to Xavi and Iniesta, somebody that could provide goals from that line since none of our midfielders are too prolific. Alexis as somebody that can run at defences and create chances. Dunno if the lack of Messi on the pitch liberated them, but they have had games like that with Leo in the pitch, just never regularly enough (Cesc was imperious in the first months of the season, for example). Anyway, even if Mallorca are turboshit, it will be a good injection of morale before we play PSG without Messi. Was great to see Abidal back on the pitch, this also being Tito's first home game since he came back from his treatment. One of the great feel good moments of the season.
  17. Rodrigo has a lot of hype about him. I honestly didn't rate him much, but I have seen him play recently and his game is becoming much better. You can really see he's a class or two above U21 football.
  18. To be frank everybody knows they received an inflated valuation just because of who they were. It's stupid to deny it but at the same time not too sure it can be legally acted upon. We tried to pull off the same trick with the Miniestadi land, mind, but we had honest politicians in the council
  19. Would love to see top players in games that don't really matter and they can do whatever the hell they like with no consequences. Seeing players warming up on the pitch can be pretty cool at times but to see a full 90 minutes of no pressure, mess about football would be great. Aye, that's why preseason friendlies are such amazing football spectacles.
  20. It's done like that in Spain. With erotic consequences.
  21. Aye, usually 10 human days = 5 Messi days, but you never known.
  22. Messi out for 10 days, will probably miss the second leg.
  23. The only thing we need, is a little bit more gear when moving the ball, which we used to have and still appears in the odd game (Milan at home, Málaga away...)
