  1. Yes on all three questions. Usually member tickets are freed up in the weekdays before the actual match.
  2. And to round off a great weekend, Espanyol keep dropping like a stone. Because when you build your success around a tight defense, there's nothing like selling half of it during the January window for a bag of crisps. Keep it up, bitter cunts
  3. If he loses or draws one of the remaining 8 games he won't match Pellegrini's tally of last season, either. But he still has them in the mix for the CL (although it will take an epic debacle from us for them to take the league now).
  4. Canales in the PL would be a disaster. Doesn't have the mettle.
  5. A judge will rule today if the strike is on or off. Going by previous rulings the strike will probably be unauthorized.
  6. Apparently the Lithuanian stadium we are supposed to play this Tuesday is thoroughly f***ed and we have asked UEFA to postpone the game. They showed it on the Spanish TV and it looks like a potato field rather than a football pitch. http://www.marca.com/albumes/2011/03/27/cesped_kaunas/index_3.html http://www.marca.com/albumes/2011/03/27/cesped_kaunas/index_1.html
  7. Yes, tickets will appear on the area of stadium the seats belong to. Click on them and you continue to payment. Seats do show up, but I don't expect many unless the race is over (and if it's us that won it, since the trophy is usually presented in the last home game, there will be a sellout too).
  8. If, somehow, we won the league in that game the partying in town will be immense.
  9. I'd say €150+, depending on how important the game actually is.
  10. I'm a member but not a ST holder, I'll be pissed off if I miss this one too. Let's see if I can tap up my "sources".
  11. Two weeks if a Spanish team makes the CL final (not unlikely given Barça and Madrid are on the same side of the bracket). I expect the strike to be called off. Not the first time they threaten with this, and it has never happened at the end.
  12. Unless we have lost the title race by then, it will be very hard. We're not coming out to Barcelona till the day of the game, but we know somebody who lives out there. Any idea how hard it would be for them to get tickets beforehand? As far as I'm aware they are not members/season ticket holders... Will be well gutted if the one time I get to come over and can't even get to a game. We already have flights and hotels booked etc. Online ticketing shows a sellout. It'll be up to ST holders and the club releasing tickets, check www.servicaixa.es during the week of the game. Often. You can always get your friend go to the stadium and check the scalpers, if you want it that badly. It'll be up to how the title race looks like by then. If we are in it or just won it, it will be a sellout.

  14. You know what's gonna happen right? He's going to have to put on muscle and stuff due to s*** managers and hes going to lose all his ability and agility just like Robinho. Not if he signs for the right team
  15. What, that he loves the Toon and his favourite drink is Brown Ale? That he's secretly an alien lizard and his hair contains a mind-controlling device.
  16. Man, I really hope those Neymar rumours are true.
  17. Overstatement, he is way past his expiry date.
  18. Oh man, Gilberto Silva was the defensive midfielder, the Dunga type player. Kleberson was more a Ramires type of player and he was excellent at the World Cup. For a young player to come in and contribute like he did was immense. Kléberson had a couple of great moments, but didn't really think he was all that in general play. Anyway, I still stand by what I said - I don't think you produce as good tenacious/defensive mids as you used to. We'll see where Sandro ends up, though.
  19. That's the problem Disco, he's decent. Decent players shouldn't play for Brazil. Kléberson started a WC final, Brazil doesn't seem to produce the Dungas and Mauro Silvas they used to. Gilberto Silva, Emerson and now Sandro are those types of players. On the other hand Kleberson wasn't a decent player in that World Cup, he was a great player. Emerson was alright, nothing spectacular, at least in La Liga. Gilberto Silva was good, I admit. Wasn't terribly impressed by Kléberson in the 2002 WC myself. Didn't really give Brazil the solidness and shape that Dunga or Mazinho did in the past.
  20. That would be disastrous for England, in my opinion. No matter how talented he is, you can't depend on a 34-year old playing every 3 days at the tail end of the season. This, plus add to the fact tha Lampard has looked nothing more than average for 90% of his England career, I just cannot suddenly see him putting in a cup winning performance when his legs have gone. I can see Lampard/Gerrard alternating in the position through the tournament though, what probably you should had been doing the past 6 years.

  23. Well no, naturally he isn't. Not a particularly fast defender really but still a top one. Agree about the 2 Arsenal lads. Just different in style and it was good to see Wilshere driving forward with it - and also playing the simple ball where necessary. All in all England did what they needed to do. Disappointing to see them look disinterested in getting more goals but I suppose the job was done and Capello obviously told them to not take risks in the 2nd half, hence the boring 2nd period that ensued. You can only beat what is in front of you so this game didn't really teach us much. Milner provided his usual dose of f*** all, Johnson didn't look solid despite having the minimum of defending to do, while he didn't give much going forward. Rooney once again was alright but hardly setting the world alight. The Wilshere-Parker-Lampard combination looked pretty encouraging and is worthy of another try. Lampard will be 34 when the EC rolls around, personally think you should be starting to phase him out too. Although I admit I can't think of many alternatives. Wilshere, McEachran, Rodwell (although more of a cb I believe). I think it's time we take a hit/the gamble. We know with the current set up we aren't going to do anything. The Germany game was played out as predicted. We need a new start, get some of the youngsters in and some experience then in 4 years we will be much better placed to progress. Germany are much better for it and we need to take similar gambles, we have some talented youngsters who although won't immediately offer more but will in the longer term. Well, didn't name Wilshere since he's already in the team alongside Lampard. You need somebody else in addition to him to replace Lampard, with Wilshere replacing Gerrard.
