  1. That's my take on it too. FA Cup might not be enough though, would depend on if you challenged the PL right to the end. Honestly, depends on how serious he really was about wanting to go to us. My belief has always been he just wants to win stuff and sees us as a better proposition on that regard.
  2. To be honest I was trying to bait the resident Spurs fans too.
  3. I do, I like him a lot and he's one of my favorite players in the PL. Mind, I don't think is a player we need, but still fun to be linked with him.
  4. Ours is better because it's got a big breasted woman in it.

  6. Wait? They paid 13m for Gyan?
  7. 8. Big congratulations there, this kind of win in a derby game is what football exists for.
  9. I just saw the thread title, is it for real or are you pulling my leg?
  10. Agreed. He's been absolutely rubbish. It'll be interesting to see how/if he'll be adapting to the PL. Never understood why they paid so much for what's essentially a youth player, the spotlight will kill his development imho.
  11. Apart from Stoke's first season in the top flight I don't think he's been that instrumental for them (didn't watch them in the Championship though). He's a clogger of the highest calibre, they're essentially playing 10-men for the sake of his throws.
  12. Well, they failed to keep Championship status
  13. One goal every game for England too.
  14. Third post in a row but... Roque Santa Cruz in talks for a loan deal with Getafe, the player himself has said that he wants to go to la Liga in the January window. ManCity, however, wants a sale.
  15. We have been heavily linked with Javier Pastore these past weeks. Real Madrid too. Can't see us signing a central midfielder, though.
  16. Guy Roux has said that "Benzema misses his mum" http://www.elpais.com/articulo/deportes/sombria/indolencia/Benzema/elpepidep/20101028elpepidep_4/Tes (Only in Spanish sorry)
  17. What's your judgement on Ireland (if you're still around). I had hopes of him getting near his form of two seasons ago but doesn't seem to be shining for Villa yet.
  18. Stay tuned, now it's when they'll say the fact the club has had to come out and back him proves that he was under pressure to begin with.
  19. The skin looks suitably red around the tat, though. Pretty attention to detail for a 'shop.
  20. Looks like another tatoo fracas from a Manchester City fan: http://www.heavensports.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/waynerooneytattoo.jpg
  21. They still have days off and draw against a third tier team with most of first teamers playing. He's not unbeatable.
  22. Betis stadium has been renamed back to "Benito Villamarín" after former owner Manuel Ruíz de Lopera renamed him after himself. Should have never happened in the first place, good to see that happening.
  23. I'm not a sports scientist or an expert in fitness, but rugby players that are 6'3" and built like tanks can batter their way through 80 minutes of high-speed action. There might be a slight reduction in stamina compared to the build of a distance runner, but football is a game of sprints, not a marathon. I would much rather have a team of Enriques than any other build. Yank football has a ridiculously low amount of actual playing time, I seem to recall it was little over 10 minutes with all the stoppage. Plus given that you play two different squads depending if you are in offence or defence, at the end players only need to exert themselves for low amounts of time. On the other hand, an average football player runs over 10km in a match.
