To be completely honest I considered you a big club on the same league as us in the early 2000s
-
I feel mean, so.... Today I was talking to my ManU supporting friend here in NYC, we talked about the last Manchester derby and I inquired him about Given's performance. He said he did think he was one of the best keepers in the league, blah, blah, blah... and ended with... "now that City sadly will become a big club, we'll be able to see how Given copes playing for a big club"
-
Heck, I have been known for *not* celebrating any Spain goal that cunt Raúl scores and rejoicing when he made some embarassing miss. Pettiness and being a bit of a mong is the bread and butter of football
-
I just went to the Málaga CF site, and apparently they lost out on Quincy because "Portsmouth was offering more money"
-
For that price they could have had people like Shawcross or Cahill, that to me are having very good seasons already at top level and are young. SAF really must think he's the next Rio Ferdinand or something.
-
Wait, Quincy had agreed a move to Málaga just yesterday. I guess that felt through. He was actually very decent in Spain (Segunda División, that is)
-
Real hasn't won at Riazor since 1991/1992. Hopefully that streak can be extended one more year, missing Ronaldo and Higuaín (their two best players this season) can hurt them a lot.

Yours?

Dindane was loaned to Pompey, wasn't he? So they aren't seeing a dime of that.

Benny Benitez: Parky 6 Benny 2 (Benitez watch.). Inter sack the waiter.
Village Idiot replied to Parky's topic in Football
Well, when Benítez is gone all the Spanish rags wankfest about the "Spanish Liverpool" will finally stop -
That happens to a lot of dribbling-based players. Not the same to piss all over Portuguese/Danish/Scottish/whatever defences than doing it on a top league.
-
I love this part of his wiki page
-
Horrific 2 footed challenge Just been told that Spurs haven't bid for him and must see the rest of the season at Pompey.
-
Spurs and Gareth Bale? Walcott to Arsenal Kyle Naughton to Spurs Earnshaw to WBA Nugent to Pompey Off the top of my head, and that's just players that never were in the PL before. Surely there are tons more.

Portsmouth FC in yet more trouble - administration again?
Village Idiot replied to GG's topic in Football
It's pretty obvious that club is unable to operate. How come they aren't under administration yet? -
And the overall working conditions in the MLS are pretty shitty. The wages of a squad player aren't even enough to make a living, I don't know how they plan to develop talent that way. Plus contracts aren't guaranteed (you can't be cut without compensation).
-
Stopping on the run up isn't expressly forbidden in the Laws of the Game IIRC. I might be wrong, but I have seen *lots* of paradinha penalties being taken. (Pelé the most famous example). The paradinha is a double edged sword, if the keeper doesn't fall for it, you've lost a lot of thrust for the shoot.

FC Barcelona has made public today that the 6 trophies conquered the past year have cost us €50m in player bonuses and transfer addons triggered. Happily paid.
-
Is he still nae finished? Talksport classic, well the actual wording is anyway I actually reversed the joke the other day.... Friend: "Bruce Willis has a new movie? But he's finished!" Me: "He's not finnish! He's American!"
-
But clearly a possibility for two clubs behind us the league and based in Nottingham and West Bromwich? And Barcelona and Arsenal according to the same source. To be honest I find the Barcelona link hard to believe, he's not the profile of player we sign. Same for Real.
-
I'm surprised that no premiership team has been reported, though, they could easily outbid any of WBA/NUFC/Forest without really needing to stretch, and the guy does carry a bit of hype about him.
-
It's pretty stupid that you would fall for it again after how it damaged his career the first time around, but I understand these addictions can't be hard to escape from.
-
I think the fact Moses was pulled out of the Crystal Palace game was very indicative that both clubs were in serious talks about his transfer. Here's hoping you pull it off, it would be an ambitious signing, the kind that sends a message.
-
David James? They can't afford to play him, right? I read somewhere they would trigger a clause in his contract if he played more games.
-
And who's going to keep goal for Pompey now? Niemi? Ashdown?
