  1. They loved it when we had McClaren as manager. They gave him no stick at all. The opposite applies to Benitez and they spend most of their time trying to convince each other that he's no good despite his managerial CV being up there with the world's best. They wanted McClaren to stay yet they're desperate for Rafa to walk. Why do they think that is?
  2. No one one was going to take them on the money they are on. Exactly. Let's not make out either of them were doing us a favour by sticking around.
  3. As bad as he was last night, that wasn't his worst performance of the season. Fulham (H) takes that accolade.
  4. Ritchie without a doubt. He's crucial to our team.
  5. Managed to get a 2 o'clock finish at work. Plenty extra pre match drinking time now. Buzzing for this!
  6. Aye she'll get them if she's got the card used to buy them.
  7. What a make believe world they live in. But who would want to live in their world when it's better to live in denial. Yet our gate receipts are 3 times higher than theirs are. If we're giving all these tickets away those who are paying must be forking out over £100 a game for those sums to add up!
  8. South Shields is mainly a mackem area and further up the tyne you go the less mackem supporters you find, so you do get some in Jarrow. No way is South Shields mainly a mackem area like, at the very worst its 50/50 To keep it simple just assume everyone South of The Tyne is a mackem. We can forgive the folk in Gateshead because they're connected via the Tyne Bridge amongst others. Saves all the bickering. A lot of our most dedicated supporters are from South of the Tyne mind.
  9. This wheelchair has already collected 85 points thanks very much
  10. He wasn't particularly good last season like. Happy to keep him on as back up because of his versatility but when everyone's fit he shouldn't be anywhere near the 1st team assuming we are in the PL. Nah - he played pretty well at right back last season. Would be more than happy to have him and Yedlin was our RBs next season, given the need to strengthen elsewhere. Shouldn't even be close to a priority. We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

  12. He has to be one of us on a massive wind up like.
  13. You're very naive then. He's from Huddersfield. Not sure whether or not he supports them (He's not allowed to referee them) but he'll have many friends and family members who are Huddersfield fans if nowt else and it's a huge game for them as well. It's an unnecessary appointment which puts the referee in an awkward position.
  14. Ashley will probably use those statistics next January, to calculate whether he can get away with spending nowt again. If we've got 26 points by deadline day he'll spend nowt. Not a chance we'll have 26 points by the end of January unless he spends big in the summer.
  15. He's conceded 30 goals in 14 games for AZ edit: for reference their other GK conceded 38 goals in 32 games before Krul signed How many of those 30 were his fault? For reference the Dutch League is typically the highest scoring league in Europe. no idea, not many are solely a GK's fault anyway. Depends how many he could/should have saved, again something I don't have an answer for. When you don't know things like that, the stats are all there is to go off ..and that may be, don't see what relevance that has to him still having a worse goals conceded per game ratio to the other, younger GK, in the same league & team There could have been nothing he could have done about any of those goals then, which makes your post irrelevant. What is relevant is that he's a better goalkeeper than Darlow and should be our No 1 next season unless we sign someone else as first choice.

  17. He has to take on more than he should though because him and Shelvey are our only 2 creative players and Shelvey's been off form for quite a while now. Gouffran and Atsu aren't fit for purpose as attacking wide players so he's our only attacking threat from the flanks. He's got 15 goals and 10 assists so far this season. Not really sure what more people were expecting of him.
  18. If we don't sign a keeper in the summer Krul has to start in goal next season.
  19. Absolute rubbish. He's scored the winning goals for us in our last 2 victories. Probably our player of the year and certainly the most influential. We wouldn't even be 2nd if not for him.
