Looks like we'll have to score 3 or 4 to win this then. How this fat mess ever made it as a pro footballer let alone a PL one I'll never know.

Wheres that what fanzine? Sorry, meant forum; http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/97565-newcastle-a-optimeter/

A Leicester fanzines take on it; The international break is almost over and what with our last two results and performances in the Premier League being below par I thought it was worth another optimeter to get those positive vibes rolling for Saturday. Newcastle's off the field problems are well documented. Their fans do not like Alan Pardew and want him gone, despite being the man who almost lead them to the Champions League a few seasons back - on a shoestring budget due to Mike Ashley being a tight bastard. Pardew has also unearthed some excellent signings in his time there on a lowish budget. They have started the season very badly. The delusion of Geordie's believing they should be/are a top four/five club has never been more prominent than it is at the moment. Stability is key and Pardew provides that... Who out there would take the toon to the next level? Our most recent meeting came in the championship five seasons ago. Newcastle won at St James and we failed to score a goal in both matches. Four defeats in a row for The Foxes at Newcastle only scoring once. The omens don't look good. Our last win away up in the toon was under Martin O Neil with Cottee and Robbie Savage bagging the goals in a fine 2-0 victory. It will be interesting to see what team NP puts out, I envisage changes from the Burnley game in the starting 11 and on the bench. Can we win? I don't think so. I fear a rejuvenated Newcastle with the spotlight off Pardew briefly in the international break and we will lose 2-0.

NUFC.com saying that it's heading for a sell out. Absolutely staggering but equally disappointing that out of 49k home fans only a handful will have the balls/care enough to give Pardew a hard time and because of the size of the crowd they'll hardly even be noticed.

Tranmere 1-0 Carlisle. The goalscorer was called Max Power which reminded me of an episode of The Simpsons.
-
If we want to be challenging for the top 6-8 positions, which is where a club of our size should be, not scrapping with the likes of QPR and Burnley down at the bottom, neither Marveaux or Gouffran should be anywhere near our first XI.

Let's not get carried away here. Fair enough he didn't get much time on the pitch but the way some people are going on here he was in the Messi/Ronaldo bracket. I thought he didn't look cut out for football in England and his "performance" at Goodison has to go down as one of the most gutless and cowardly efforts I've ever seen from a Newcastle player and he's got some competition for that title!

This 100%. Anyone softening or feeling sorry for King Pardew needs to remember the damage he's doing to the club. Of course he could resign but his ego and greed won't allow that.
-
Looks like less than 40,000 sold for this so far. Ashley is more than likely to sack him for that than any of the banners or anti Pardew chants.
-
Apologies for not being a no life c*nt like yourself and spending the majority of my spare time on here scrutinising every post meaning I missed it if it has already been posted.

Spookily accurate

Banners are great and will add to the affect but you can't beat downright verbal abuse to get your point across. Thankfully I expect he'll get bucketloads of it.
-
This. As I said on page 1 the fat man isn't going to sack him any time soon so we need to make Pardews mind up for him. SJP needs to be at it's intimidating best, and everything needs to be aimed at the fraud in the dugout (stick for Charver would be welcome too). We need to force his hand and make sure he can't face ever sitting in that dugout again. For everyone who has NUFCs best interests at heart; It's your duty to get yourself along to the game on Saturday and make this c*nt sorry he ever accepted the managers job at our great club. He should be a crumbling wreck by 4.45 on Saturday tea time. We can make this happen.
-
Shame somebody didn't hoy their chair at him.
-
Every Pardew hater, even those who've stopped going over the past couple of seasons need to put that to one side for this match, buy a ticket and give Pardew hell for 90 minutes. Give him no option but to resign afterwards saying how the fat man won't sack him.
-
There'll be quite a few witnesses so I presume he'll find himself in a bit bother.
-
4 months out means he'll be back come January and Pardew can reel out his "like a new signing" patter to cover over yet another pointless transfer window.
-
Really hope this is true but I can't help think it's merely speculation based on what any normal club would do

Wrong - Rangers worldwide profile is far higher than ours due to the massive Scottish diaspora around the world. They will also be far more profitable once they get regular CL football, something NUFC can only dream about. That's wrong. The SPL gets zero international TV coverage (sans a couple CL group games every year, perhaps) while the BPL is watched by billions across the world every weekend. Whatever value the "Scottish diaspora" might have is dwarfed by the media exposure Sportsdirect gets from advertising in a PL stadium. This is especially true given that actual Rangers fans would end up hating sportsdirect as much as we do. Wrong - Rangers worldwide profile is far higher than ours due to the massive Scottish diaspora around the world. They will also be far more profitable once they get regular CL football, something NUFC can only dream about. Rangers could only generate a fraction of the money we do. SPL teams get about £1m a year TV money to our £70m and the rewards for getting to the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League aren't all that great.

"One damning statistic (of many it has to be said), is that in the 4 years he has been manager of NUFC, we have lost a higher percentage of games than anyone else in English football, apart from 2 clubs (Fulham & Stevenage)". Taken from another website so I can't verify it's accuracy but I can quite believe it.

Crowd really need to turn the heat up on this odious cretin now. Things have died down since the back end of last season when he was getting pelters. Need to get the abuse back up to that level and beyond, basically make his job unbearable.

. Colo pretty much lost every header on sat. No he didn't. They had a spell in the first half where they won 3 corners in about 3 minutes and Colo headed away each time.

0-1 they'll score late on. A few Pardew Out chants at the end but not really anything of note. -
What a novel idea. It'll never catch on!
