    Season Tickets

Didn't see it myself but I've heard a few people say Jeff Stelling mentioned that over 16,000 people had cancelled their NUFC season tickets. Not sure where he gets that figure from but hopefully it's accurate as that would mean only 20k season ticket holders for next season and gates of around 30k or even less if/when we're down the bottom of the league. Not only does Ashley lose £millions but his tatty sports company will be advertised to a backdrop of empty seats which he won't be too keen on as one of the things he has tried to do is keep the ground as full as possible with various ticketing initiatives.
  2. Let's get one thing straight even if we're getting beat 4-0 after half an hour the atmosphere still won't become poisonous. Apathy reigns and the crowd have been beaten into submission.
  3. You shouldn't lose your loyalty points. I chucked my ST last season with 106 loyalty points but when I log onto my account on the online box office my profile now says general sale but the 106 points are still on.
  4. There's only around 600 of them. The players wouldn't even be able to hear them in a stadium the size of Wembley. I'm sure their fans, players, manager and chairman would be delighted if 1000's of fans went down to support them in a one off game to get into the Football League.
  5. Would be canny if they got to the Play Off final at Wembley and 50,000 Toon fans thought, f*ck it, we'll never see Newcastle there again and went down to cheer on the Heed. Think I'd probably go like as I did when Whitley Bay got there.

He's called Graham Laidler and unbelievably, given some of the content he's posted over the years on various forums, he is a school teacher which quite frankly beggars belief. Trying to arrange fights with total strangers and constant bullying of others, it's hard to believe he's a bloke in his mid 40's. I certainly wouldn't want him sharing a classroom with my bairn.
  7. Wasn;t that Robert? Nah it was Ginola.
  8. He hasn't scored, he hasn't even looked like scoring. For a big bloke he's pushed off the ball far too easily and he doesn't seem particularly good in the air or very quick. Not even Pardew would be daft enough to sign him up, surely?
  9. On the bus now. Walked out when they scored the 3rd goal. Just nothing there, no effort or anything. The crowd don't even seem to be bothered apart from De Jong getting ironic cheers when he went off. Sad times.
  10. Sad to think how excited I used to be for this match from '93 up until the late '00s. Town was always buzzing beforehand, the atmosphere was always electric and hostile, as Alex Ferguson used to always comment on, and we used to go into it believing we would get something out of it. It always felt like a big occasion. Fast forward to 2014 under Ashley and the clown who picks the team and i'm sat here less than 4 hours to kick off and I can't even be bothered to start getting myself ready to go out. In fact i'm only going because i've got a free ticket with a Magpie Mover chucked in as well. I know we'll lose, I know we won't score again and I know we won't play very well and has always been the case under that clown will start on the back foot and invite them onto us. Basically just nothing to look forward to or get excited about, not just today but looking towards the future. I remember when football used to be about entertaining the supporters and less about balance sheets and financial results. 0-4.

They are not normal people. Sickening that we have to share a region with them.
  12. I don't go to the games. When we win it's usually because we've played ok football with Remy in the side. And if we don't we get utterly dicked. Either way we're not boring for the neutral. We most certainly were last season, mind. Our last 2 home wins were Villa and Palace. They were both pretty boring games tbh.

Best case scenario this weekend would be Palace beating Cardiff and West Brom winning at Norwich I'm thinking?

I always do. It's cost me a fortune this season as well. I'm the most unlucky gambler you could meet, Chelsea let me down for £120 on Saturday, but I'll continue to back them til the end of the season. Let's face it 1 of 2 things will happen, either I'll win a few quid or they'll go down. Got £20 on them at 5/4 tonight which seems a bit tight considering their home record but I do think they'll beat West Ham.

How come there's no away fans there tonight? Haven't heard any anti NUFC songs and the usual away end has Liverpool fans in it.

I've stuck a fiver on Sundo at 18/1.
  17. Everton never sell out their allocation here although last season was also midweek just after Xmas and the year before (Ryan Taylor wondergoal) was the Saturday dinner time kick off on Sky. They still usually bring decent numbers though. I'd actually forgotten about this match until an hour ago. Just can't get motivated about it at all. This has been without doubt the most tedious season since 90/91 when we seemed to draw 0-0 every week.

Suppose it could be the case. The cheapest possible price you could get for the Gallowgate this season was £450 but you had to pay £1,350 up front for the 3 year ticket and somebody just buying a 1 year season ticket without any discounts in the same stand for this season would have had to pay £602 so there's a £152 price difference which could be greater in more expensive parts of the ground.

Wouldn't say I particularly enjoyed the Championship. There were some decent away trips but at home most of our opponents just rolled over for us, a lot of games were won before half time and in general I found the overall quality of the league to be very poor and I was glad we only spent one season down there. Probably the best thing about it all was the way the fans stuck by the club and our 44,000 average that season was astonishing. Things will be different if Sunderland go down. I don't think you'll keep the nucleus of your team like we did and the fans certainly won't stick with the club in the way we did and I can't imagine it being very enjoyable watching your team at home to Bournemouth on a freezing January night in a stadium not even half full which will be the case. However I still don't think Sunderland will go down.
  20. They've been given 2,800 but haven't quite sold out yet but apparently not many left. Good effort form them considering they only took 1,200 to sunderland last week. Clearly a trip up to Newcastle is a far more attractive proposition. Looks like it's going to be a complete sell out which is remarkable really. Shame we don't have a team to match the support. In fairness their fans have been a breath of fresh air in the prem this season. Some of the noisiest by a stretch. Probably my favourite set of fans from London. Always found Charlton pretty decent as well mind.
