They were interviewing an ex Pro the other week (can't for the life of me remember his name) and he was saying having a top class Keeper can be worth an extra 12-15 points over the course of a season. Personally I think goalkeepers are undervalued in the transfer market. If the Mackems had westwood in goal last season instead of Mignolet they would be playing in the Championship now.

I think i'll go along to this for a fiver. Last time I went to watch Gateshead play they were at home to Barnet and Barry Fry was the Barnet manager so that must have been 20 odd years ago.

I noticed he mentioned how well we played against the Mackems once again in his Spurs post match ramblings. I can only presume he thinks that if he keeps on saying it, in time it will become accepted that we did play well against them and were just unlucky.

We've only won 1 of our last 7 home league games, the aggregate score in which is 5-15. We're s***, basically. What a horrific stat. And still the useless tw@t is still no closer to the sack.

Not really. I signed up for it and cancelled in February for this season so now I don't have one. Many more will cancel for next season. Dead easy to do.

Mackem on RTG who is a school teacher says his school have been given 28 free tickets for it despite it being in a mixed area. I already know of 4 people who bought tickets for their game v Peterborough earlier in the season to get them on the database so they could get tickets in their end cos they knew they had no chance of one in ours and 2 lads I work with have bought tickets in their end through stub hub as apparently there were no sales restrictions.

Due to sluggish ticket sales for the Tyne wear derby next week I'm reliably informed that they've sent 3,000 tickets out to the local councils for distribution around the schools and government workers in the local community.

It was on Sky. Surprised you didn't see it. Think he got a 3/10 in the chronicle the next day and that was generous. Mapou is far more equipped to deal with the Liverpool forward line than Williamson mate. He's got absolutely zero confidence and gave a truly awful performances in his last game. A centre half getting subbed at half time says it all. He was actually running away from the ball at times. I think throwing the lad back in against Suarez and Sturridge would be suicidal.
