Not confident of getting anything off Southampton next week, especially if Carvers still in charge.

I'd heard Oldham had said no to Ched Evens but he was taking it as a yes.
-
You've just summed up his Newcastle career right there.
-
Not sure if it's just desperation at the thought of Carver getting the gig but I'd take Sherwood. Quite enjoyed watching Spurs under him last season and he set his team up to be very attack minded. Let's face it we're never going to win owt so at least if we're seeing some decent football that's something I suppose. Added bonus if he brings Sir Les with him.

Give yer head a shake man you daft pillock. Calling fans who've done a 350 mile round trip to support their team is well out of order. To be fair, they've been told in advance we couldn't give a toss. Doesn't make them morons for travelling along to support the team though and if the performance was as bad as is being made out the players and those coaching/picking them deserve whatever abuse comes their way from those who've paid their money and given up their time to go and watch them.

Glad someone else had noticed he can't even dive properly. I'd live to know what someone seen in him to offer him a contract. There's better keepers knocking about in the Northern League.

Its embarrassing watching him tbh. So far out of his depth as a pro footballer it's unreal.

Newcastle United vs Burnley - 01/01/15 @ 3:00PM (not on TV)

Quite excited about today but can't help thinking that a win guarantees Carver the job until the end of the season at least. That would put us on 29 points, 10 from safety with half of the season still left to play and the much coveted North East Top Dogs trophy practically in the bag for a 5th consecutive season. Ashleys thinking will be along the lines of why pay another manager to come in when the season is just about done with and the objective is complete as he trousers the £2m compen from Palace. -

Lack of public transport and the pull of all day drinking in their local will put a good few off. Still should be 47-48k. Atmosphere will be flat as it always is NYD. -
That's the problem. The joy of being rid of Pardew will be short lived when we see his replacement. Let's be honest it's going to be someone of similar ilk.
-
Southampton. Fans who had made a near 700 mile round trip had the nerve to complain about the s*** they'd been watching previous to us getting humped 4-0. The first thing the new manager should be doing is getting rid of Charver and bringing in his own team. Ashley probably won't let him though as it increases costs.
-
Would he be allowed to manage us without the coaching badges? Thought they were tightening up the rules about this.
-
The first thing he'll probably do in his role as caretaker manager will be to give himself a months compassionate leave back to Argentina.
-
Coloccini would be a disaster. He doesn't even make a particularly good captain so I can't see how he'd make a go of it as a manager, even short term. After all we still need another 14 points to guarantee safety. Must admit I was in the anyone but Pardew camp but I've woken up this morning filled with dread when I think who Ashley will replace him with.
