  1. After watching that I'm confident of beating Dortmund. Flicked it over and watched Milan for a while. They look a lot better.
  2. Roma was the same back in 99. Pubs wouldn't serve alcohol on the day of the game. Luckily a helpful local directed us to his mates bar which was a bit out of the way and we sat and drank in there all afternoon until it was time to head to the meeting point for the buses to take us to the stadium.
  3. Definitely think Dortmund is the most attractive out of the 3 for travelling without a ticket. Don't think the Italians, specifically their police will be too accommodating towards ticketless fans, and Paris could potentially be worse again.
  4. Aye they were proper cowards. Picking off individuals or small groups of 2s and 3s. Didn't want to know when the numbers were even or just slightly in their favour and absolutely shat it afterwards. Similar to Roma was really. Must be an Italian trait.
  5. I went to Marseille in 2004. Was no bother really. Police were OK other than walking us through what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse to get us in and out of the ground. We didn't stay in Marseille because we were advised it would be too dangerous (more to do with the large Algerian population) so stopped in Cannes instead. Tbh I've been to France a few times, including Paris, and it's not really a place I've ever enjoyed visiting. My experiences of Germany and Italy have been far better. Certainly PSG would be the least appealing away game out of the 3 for me.
  6. Their entire business plan revolves around relying on bigger clubs letting them borrow players that they would never be able to buy for themselves. Burstow is this seasons Diallo.
  7. An idea of some of the away allocations we are likely to recieve.
  8. Copenhagen are dross. Swap them with Red Star Belgrade and I'd say that's the easiest group.
  9. I'd be quite happy with that and moving Joelinton back over to the left of the attack and switching Gordon to the right (Isak through the middle). The lad will soon be 21 and probably feels he needs more time on the pitch.
  10. I'd like to think they would but I've filled in plenty of their surveys over the years and rarely hear of any feedback or follow up action afterwards.
  11. Just done it there. Gave negative/dissatisfied responses. Not sure what NUST plan to do with it. Doubt we'll hear anything back.
  12. And Bruno wasn't? For me up until the time of Tonali going off he was still the best of the 3 midfielders. Thought it was the wrong decision at the time and I stand by that now.
  13. Most people where I was at were complaining about him going off at the time so that's not hindsight. At the time people were disappointed with the substitutions. He got it wrong and Klopp outsmarted him. Sometimes you've just got to accept that. Game changed massively in their favour. Barnes didn't have anywhere near the same impact that Gordon had and the general consensus when Tonali went off was that it should have been Bruno.
  14. Game clearly swung in their favour after the subs. Anyone who watched it could see that tbh. Gordon was terrorising them and Tonali was helping us keep relative control of the game. Lost all that when they went off.
  15. Could kind of understand taking Isak off for Wilson but removing him and Gordon was absolute madness and has ultimately cost us. Thought he was the best of our 3 midfielders by some way.
  16. Tbf as NUFC manager (we were relegation fodder up until last season lets not forget) for the time being at least he's always going to have a "mixed" record against the top sides. In fact most of the other top managers have a mixed record against the other top teams. However he's still managed to beat Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Villa, Brighton, West Ham in his relatively short time here, all likely to be top 8 this season. Add to those an impressive draw v Man City last season and his record isn't actually too bad. For whatever reason Klopp just has his number.
  17. Wrong fans have got in the seats. Bruno has been poor for a while. Only an idiot would disagree with that. We move on to Brighton.
  18. Said exactly the same on our WhatsApp group. Would have been the first one I would have hooked of the 3. He's been poor since Feb but too many scared to admit that.
  19. He shit it today but hey ho. We'll improve as the season goes on I'm sure.
  20. 101st minute winner my mate reckons. He was foaming!
  21. Aye thise of us who've been to Goodison before can vouch for their being some really restricted views which they shouldn't be charging anywhere near £55 for!
  22. It is but it doesn't tell the full story. Their cheapest tickets are £55 and their most expensive tickets are £55. They have 1 price for adults and it's the same regardless of stand or opposition. It's £25 for a junior. Also a quick check shows that their season tickets are generally cheaper than ours. For example the equivalent of our East Stand is £600/£670 whereas we are at around the £850 mark behind the goals start from £600. At Man City adult prices start from £385 behind the goal which is incredible value to watch the best team in the world. Obviously they didn't have FFP to worry about when they were taken over and since then have grown revenues with success more than ticket prices.
