I don't see why Elliot gets so much negativity. He made some very good saves to the end of last season, and his distribution was better than that of Krul's. Fair enough, he made a couple of bad decisions on crosses, etc but that was prob down to nerves, lack of playing time, and the task in hand. The immensely stupid handball gaff at QPR aside. Better than most teams back ups.

I expected as much, and can't really complain about the line up. People who think Marveaux should of started are mental imo. He has had a handful of games under his belt, then he starts against Stoke, at the Britannia. He is one of the most lightweight players in our squad, he'd get bullied off the ball at every opportunity. The 11 that we have out, is the best to cope with Stoke tonight. No one on the bench will change anything tonight, winning, drawing or loosing.

Got him on my purple away kit from like 07/08 (I think). Still love that kit. I remember struggling to get a player on the back I truly liked/wanted, ended up with him.

I can't believe people would actually want him back. He has been poor in whatever Liverpool game I have seen. A number of my mates are Liverpool fans and absolutely hate him. I think Santon has been superb this season, and has greater technical ability. He also has more time to develop and grow.
