Fair play to Pardew after the game, he came out and said 'Ferdinand got the ball, but he may have got Ben Arfa first, before playing the ball'. He also stated that Ferguson had a right to be mad at the decision. When has Ferguson ever came out and said this. He has never stated his team has gained a lucky decision, or has past judgement on poor decisions gone against opposing teams. I say stuff him, they aren't as good as they once were. They wont win the league, and he knows it. He's got alot of building to do before we fear them again.

Not really a soft spot, but ever since their Title winning side, and that superb turn around against Milan in the champions league. I always look out for the Deportivo results come the sunday/monday papers. Pity whats happened to them now.

The thing about Steven Taylor is, I don't think he's a better player than either Cahill or Jagielka, and either does Capello. They continue to be picked over him because of previous seasons/previous stand out performances for their respective clubs in the past. Capello has never/virtually never chosen players on form, he consistently chooses players who have been embedded in the squad over periods of time. An example is Wayne Bridge. He wasn't playing at all regularly at club level, yet was constantly chosen as back up. Taylor needs to be doing something unreal every week to be getting noticed.
