I know he's flavour of the month right now, and Cisse is the pantomime villain, but I haven't seen anything to suggest Gouff is going to be an effective CF. This is true but too many NUFC 'supporters' are blinded by their hatred of Cisse to admit it.

That's fair enough, but as Dave posted there's little or no competition on the bench or squad due to inertia/tight-fistedness by our beloved leader and his drunk general.

NUFC-Online heresy alert - I don't believe either Cisse or Debuchy are useless.

But they're completely different types of striker; unfortunately we do not have a Lukaku type of striker at our club. If we did I'd be happy to see Cisse dropped due to be his recent poor form, but replacing him with Gouffran or Shola is simply not the answer.

Funnily enough, I seem to recall similar being prematurely said about Colo, Enrique, Darren Peacock and Gary Speed to name but a few.
