Was fully prepared to lose him next summer, not this one. Especially not deep into July. Don't blame him for wanting more money, elite players should be on elite money. As much as I hate to say it, don't expect him to feel the need to have any sort of loyalty to us over maximising his earnings and silverware. We are still at the stage of likely going to find it difficult to constantly be able to retain our elite players if there is interest from the top 2 teams to be honest. Absolutely got it spot on today He's still improving and learning and it's so clear to see. No doubt will end up being one of the best English coaches (even though kind of already is) this country has ever seen when you look at his career years down the line. I've had doubts in the past during his difficult periods but he's proven all doubters wrong again and again.
