The Dan Burn weekly back and forth is getting tiresome now lol. I mean we've been playing a central defender as full-back for over a year now and its quite clear now what his limitations (or in other words, near total non-contribution) to our attacking is. Don't get me wrong, love the lad but he's a central defender man. That position is something we really need to improve on, its a shame Targett has not come back to previous form after return from injury.

I for one thoroughly enjoyed some extra NUFC content from last year.

Technically we have a better team on paper than last year. If we convert the draws against lesser opposition to wins this season (unlike last) then I do not think these 3 early defeats will matter much in the long term.

I mean we weren't gonna win it so may as well see some big games rather than some Europa League/Conference League style farmers from buttfuck nowhere playing in the CL.

He is a big fan favourite and still obviously has some really positive moments of play, a combination of both I believe has seen him take a bit less criticism than others at times. However, sorry to say but unfortunately I am also with the crowd that are critical of him as it stands and this has been the case for me for weeks and in fact at some bits of end of last season, his goal against Brighton at home glossed some of that. He is far too rash with his shots outside the box, needs to slow the fuck down and play with his brain rather than anger and heart at max limits all the time as that is exactly what is leading the mistakes. Still has his positive moments as his talent obviously deserves, not saying he hasn't been positive but his form up to the standard he set for us originally has clearly dropped.

Bad take. Joelinton is a midfield ball winning presence that is far more reliable to do that role effectively than not. Bruno is just rash as owt these days and has been hit and miss for a while now. Needs to calm down and start playing a bit more with his brain, his shots outside of the box and clumsiness just ain't doing it for a while now.

Like others said, a moment to learn from but he is no doubt in my mind the man who deserves to be here for the long haul and at least see how this season pans out.
