Massive game for us. If we lose, which to be honest i think we will, then it's not the end of the world. But if we win, jesus i can't even get my head around that. I think i might spontaneously combust!

Amazed that you guys dont have standing or drinking in the stands. Even our backwater league has standing and drinking and the cops and most the public hate "wogball" I've stood many times at what was energy australia stadium. Behind the goal, i believe it's been built up now but 7 or 8 years ago when it was just a grass bank, few beers on a sunday arvo - happy days! Good old bogan country I just can't really imagine not being able to take my beer back down into wherever I am watching on game day. Beer showers when Sydney scores are also an expensive positive. Exactly! How did beer ever hurt anyone. Lolz @ bogan by the way i haven't heard that in years. I was in sydney for a year initially, decided to watch newcastle pre jets united because of the name, didn't realise the train took a fucking eternity because it stops at every lamp post. But once i'd seen them one time swicthing to one of the sydney clubs (nsl) was un thinkable.

What's the story behind the Raul vid?

Great find by them like, real gem tbf.

Dortmund looks awesome. We need standing in this country.

Am i right in thinking Ben Arfa has played a fair bit wide on the right, earlier in his career? I think i'd maybe introduce him there just to get him on the field without dropping anyone significant. Sorry Obertan fans.
-
Not sure about Robet like. The fact he refused to come back behind the halfway line was clearly negated by his offensive awesomeness.
-
Joey turned my opinions of him on their head, and i was sad to see him leave. But every time i read his rubbish in the press, tweets etc i become more and more happy he plays for someone else.

Yeah. Energy, work rate etc. And for the goals ratio, it doesn't disturb you ? Doesn't bother me. Look at it this way. There are wide midfielders in the league that may score 12 goals a season, to Jonas' 2 goals. BUT if you took Jonas out of our starting line up we'd concede the difference over the course of a season. He is that important defensively, yet he still wins countless free kicks and moves us up the fields like no ther player we have.

Can somebody post a link to RTG thread where they're discussing our league position? I'd love to hear their thoughts.

I'm pretty much in agreement. If we keep the same side and go for a draw we'll probably end up getting beat. Why not send the big guns out and have a go at them live on sky?
-
He's a bone idle shithouse. Disguised by the fact that our midfield is better than last year. He offers pace and a wide threat that barton couldn't dream of, but he's frustrating as fuck because he could be way better.

I can understand why pardew didn't bring ben arfa on, or santon for that matter. It was a seriously competive game that hung in the balance and he was hoping to just see it out. Which we did - just about. Ben arfa though has to play. He's the guy you build your team around. If it means best / ba / whoever coming off early in the second half against spurs then so be it. We need to get him involved, so he can start influencing things.

How much time would yous give him? Half an hour?
-
But didn't Enreeq provide cross after cross for Carroll when they were at Newcastle, about a dozen a game according to Phil Thompson.
-
I'd normally be predicting our downfall, but i honestly think we'll build on the blackburn performance. And our centre midfield will look even better. Somebody qoute this so i can't delete it at half time tomorrow when i look a right tit.
-
Couldn't care less.

I've slated him but credit where it's due, he's winning me over. At times i think he looks really clumsy on the ball, but bizarrely effective. The turn for his goal against fulham, the turn and shot at qpr, and a similar turn today. They don't look fluid at all but he still beats his man and gets the shot away. He's our first option up front now for me like.
-
The accuracy of his passing is outstanding. The floated 30 yard diagonal pass to a winger, if it were a Gerrard or a Lampard doing that the lads on match of the day would be batting themselves off.
-
Somehow, i think this is the best we've played all season.
-
Get him off, he's fucking shit!
-
This. I'd give another game or two, hopefully when Ben Arfa gets back Tiote can get back to winning the ball and laying it off sharpish.

As good as Rooney is he'll be absolute dogshit again by February, mark my words. He'll get to 30 goals in all competitions then do nothing for 4 months, ensuring a pathetic European Championships. Shearer had peaks and troughs, like every player, but Rooney has major lows.
