Only 5 points off the play offs with games in hand as it stands - I know they’ve been shit but I’ve said before the league is shit and all it takes is a couple of wins and they’re right back in the mix, even 2nd isn’t out of the reckoning, everyone seems to beat each other, these will be in the play offs at least within the next couple months

Unbelievably they’re still only 4 points off the play offs with a game in hand so they’ll more than likely still manage to turn it round and get into them, crazy league to have been that shit but still so close

It’s beautiful and heartbreaking seeing him on here tonight. Since he went in the summer I’ve switched off from us, 25 years of support, 12 as a season ticket holder, reduced to simply checking the full time score every weekend, but seeing him again just takes me back to the hope we all had the last 3 years, that 5-1 against Tottenham, Fulham away with 7000 of us in that away end, beating Brighton 2-1 away, winning the title on the last day, beating Man Utd, signing Almiron and beating Man City and then it seeming like the club was about to be sold in the summer, so many amazing memories with him, above all, even when we got beat there was hope, we had a manager that believed in the potential of the city, whilst Rafa was here there was always that feeling that everything would be ok, we were able to dream, able to believe. Then he left. Despite everything I’ve said above it was inevitable it would end in heartbreak, I’ve not recovered from it, we’re doing really well at the minute table wise but I just can’t feel anything, we know now that Ashley wouldn’t commit to Benitez, Rafa said it himself just a few minutes ago, my biggest fault was having ambition, that says it all. We’ll be out the cup by February, we’ll finish mid table and the next season it could be about pushing on but we know Ashley isn’t bothered, we know Bruce is just happy to be there. There’s no hope that we can progress. It might have been stupid, but having Rafa as manager always had me believing there was a chance, no matter how small, that we could be everything we could and ever wanted to be, with him gone we know we’re not. Seeing him tonight and hearing how he still talks about us is upsetting as fuck.

Tottenham look absolutely hopeless, Poch hasn’t turned into a bad manager overnight but I think it’s clear to see lately that he’s lost his way with this Spurs team, for whatever reason it’s not working, he should’ve gone in the summer

Went to watch Grantham vs FC United of Manchester this afternoon - cracking game, Town won 3-2 despite FC leading 2-1 at one point, FC bought a few hundred which made for a cracking atmosphere, usual gate is around 200 and today there was nearly 900 there so was different. Some of the FC fans are right knobheads like but it was decent overall.

Aye Hertha did nothing for 30 mins, Bayern 1 up and cruising then literally 2 goals out of nowhere, done very little since as well, proper smash and grab. Don’t think this Bayern side are as good as the last few and they’ve been in a steady decline anyway, hopefully a few more teams involved at the top this season

Watching Bayern Hertha tonight, would watch Barca Bilbao and I want to get back into La Liga but it’s pointless if there’s only one game a week and it’s Barca or Real Madrid, miss the days of it being on Sky and having loads of games and teams on, going to get stuck into the Bundesliga, good mix of teams being shown on BT this weekend. Saying that first 20 minutes have been pretty dull

How if she was able to play the pass she intended to? If she couldn’t then fair enough. It’s a foul though? Regardless of it having an effect on what she tried to do she was fouled. I dunno, it’s a difficult one because as you say the pass was fine and if she ended up scoring you wouldn’t want it bringing back, but a foul is a foul regardlesss of whether it stops you doing something

It’s just shit seeing them have something to celebrate isn’t it, they’re terrible yet are potentially going to go up at Wembley. You never know in the Championship either, anything could happen in the summer, they’re in no way a certainty to go down

That’s Portsmouth on the shit list, absolutely pathetic performance both legs, Mackems were terrible as well but had one chance and scored a goal, watch Doncaster win tomorrow and Mackems basically have a free pass. All hopes on bloody Charlton now, I’m much more pissed off than I thought I’d be, fuck off Portsmouth

Portsmouth are absolutely terrible, they don’t even look like they’re going to be able to have a shot let alone score a goal, lots of random possession and balls into the area but it’s hopeless
