  1. Be fine now with Howe, think we’ll beat Brentford, Norwich and Burnley at home so even if we lose the rest of the tough fixtures up to January we’ll be nowhere near adrift
  2. Wonder how long the Sports Direct shite will still be plastered all over the stadium, wasn’t there some talk last year that as part of the deal the signage would remain? Even if they could just get it down off the East Stand for now, hate how it ruins the Newcastle United lettering. Probably be there rest of this season I guess
  3. How many season tickets are we allowed to sell does anyone know? Isn’t it like 35,000? They have to keep some back for public/members sale I believe? Plus hospitality, away fans etc. Couldn’t justify buying a season ticket as won’t get to every game so just wondering how many will be left over game to game to scramble for with a membership
  4. Yeah and even though they did go down the other year, that’s just one season, before then for years and now after, they’ve operated with the same premise of changing manager every few months and it’s worked, so pointless focusing on that one year it didn’t when for plenty of others it did and looks like it could continue to do so. ManDoon is right, it’s all about who comes in and the squad and whilst Watford’s is nothing special they have a knack of getting enough out of them with a change of manager regularly. It’s not for every one and as we’ve seen at loads of other clubs changing manager doesn’t always work, especially as regularly as they do it, but it’s clear that’s what the clubs vision is, they’re not interested in a Wenger/SAF type to create a legacy, they basically just want to stay in the Prem and have found a system that works for them, other than that one off season, but like I say they came straight back up and look alright this season. Its fascinating really as it’s so different to everything we know, and in theory it shouldn’t work, but if everyone at the club is bought in on it, which I seems they are, I guess that’s why it does, they’ve had some random managers as well which is refreshing not seeing them work through the same old PFMs.
  5. The thing is it works though, Watford have done this for years and it got them into the premier league where they established themselves for a few years before going down, but then now they’re straight back up and doing alright; all the while changing manager every few months. Its a weird one because it’s not the norm but it has worked for them
  6. Hughton getting sacked in the morning
  7. Sherwood sounds pissed up That or he’s having a stroke
  8. Worry about Leeds this season, I know they’ve had a tough start but they seem even worse defensively this season and going forward not as good, not good signs for them, crowd have gone silent too
  9. It’s so difficult to rate Man Utd and know where they are, been rubbish again today and are going to win, whenever I watch them, going back to last season, they never seem that good but pick up a ridiculous amount of points, it’s unreal, Wolves should have been out of sight today
  10. Eurgh, game completely ruined, hate when stuff like this happens
  11. Really poor by Armstrong there, should have done better with the finish and with the header at the back post. Guaranteed to score against us next week.
  12. Standard Man Utd this, swear they go 1 nil down in pretty much every away game and then end up winning it whilst not looking great, it’s weird
  13. No end of empty seats at Southampton
  14. Sol always looks so fucking miserable man, don’t know why they have him on, aside from ticking a box, looks like he wants to he anywhere else and is ready for an argument at any minute. They didn’t cut to him after speaking to Keane and Souness at one point and you saw him look to the side and get pissed off. Such a chip on his shoulder and comes across like a right dickhead
  15. Norwich man, exactly the same as every other time they come up, never has a club fitted the description of too good for the championship but not good enough the premier league, hopeless, they’re the Dwight Gayle of football clubs

What do we reckon town will be like tomorrow? Fancy getting out to watch this, are they fairly lax now about standing etc? Imagine its going to be mental busy pre/post match so it'll be the usual scrum in most places right? Not been in for a long time, especially when it's busy so just hoping there aren't any capacity limits in certain places or whatever
  17. Still over 400 tickets left for Villa away next weekend. First away game of the season would usually be snapped up in a shot. Ended up going down to all season ticket holders and will probably reach members.
  18. Think it looks pretty good, sponsor aside, with the current sponsor it's the best we could probably hope for - only other thing for me, the back stripe is a lighter black than the rest of the black stripes etc, looks ridiculous and ruins the back of it, not sure why it's like that
  19. Nervous as fuck now like. Been up since 5am, no chance of getting back to sleep once I started thinking about the game. It's massive, if we win this then we genuinely have a real chance of getting to the final, well winning the whole thing really. Not saying we will win the whole thing, but there's no reason we can't beat any of the teams left in (I realise most the other sides will be thinking they can beat us as well) but it's so up in the air. We have the advantage of Wembley assuming we get past Sweden or Ukraine on Saturday as well. Finishing work in 15 minutes and trying to stop the urge to start drinking then, need to wait until 2ish or i'll be done in before the game feeling like this.
  20. Christ I can’t stand Wales, build ups genuinely make me angry. I know it’s petty as fuck but they were actively celebrating us being knocked out in 16 and most of them want us out this tournament and don’t give a fuck about us, so I hate this expectancy that we should support them because they’re a home nation
  21. If we had beaten Croatia and Scotland, I would have been happy with us playing a weaker side tonight and settling for second, like in 2018, however with the result and performance on Friday we really need to going all out to put on a show and win. If we end up drawing this and limping into the last 16 we'll have absolutely no momentum at all and it wouldn't shock me to see us go out in the last 16 there. If we can get a good win tonight and face one of the big guns at Wembley, full of confidence with a decent crowd behind us, then who knows. For the record I think we go out next Monday or Tuesday, but we have to go into it with a bit of momentum to have any sort of chance in my opinion.
  22. Scandalous. We're on dodgy ground here as I think it's becoming apparent that Scotland are very clearly lying about Gilmour not coming into contact with ANY of their squad. There's absolutely no chance Mount and Chilwell were the only two people that got that close to Gilmour for that time. There's pictures ffs of Clarke hugging him and Mcginn and Robertson with him, and that's just what we know of. They were all hugging after the game etc and would have been in the changing room after. It makes no sense.
  23. Doesn’t matter if they test negative though, once you’re identified as a close contact you have to self isolate. Can see this one kicking off as the wording of England’s statement seems to be we’re trying to get round it and football again might get a pass that us normal people wouldn’t get. If Mount and Chilwell have to self isolate due to that though then the whole Scotland squad will need to surely as they’ve definitely been as close to him as that, Clarke was hugging him at the end ffs and there’s video of Robertson and Mginn playing table tennis with him etc. It’s shite but there’s loads that should have to isolate now unfortunately
  24. Hard to know where Wales are really as it becomes more evident just how bad Turkey are, decent draw with Switzerland, but the Swiss were the better team, win against Turkey doesn't look like it was much and now being outplayed here. No shame in losing to Italy obviously but it's telling. Wouldn't expect them to go much further in the tournament
  25. Been the best day of the tournament so far for me, there's been some decent games but it's all been a tad dull in general overall, but this afternoon has been really good. Hopefully Spain/Poland will both have a go tonight, you'd think they would so could really top it off
