The problem is its effective. It's depressing as fuck but its worked. Arsenal are going to win the league this season playing the most anti football negative shite, Sunderland are probably going to finish top 10 playing even worse. You can't knock them for it really, as jts worked for them and brought them "success", but its depressing man. It's not what footballs about. It raises the age old question, would you rather be bored shit less but win stuff, even though its awful to watch, or play Keegan style football, enjoy yourself but ultimately win nothing. I know they're not the only two options, but football has gone so much to the former its not an entertainment sport anymore. The Premier League on the whole is dreadful to watch now, I can count the amount of genuinely exciting games over the last 5 years on one hand.

Pen to Mackems

Leeds/Mackems game is dreadful quality, both look absolutely shite. Every bit as bad as our game there at the start of the season.

What a bloke, in his blood and he'll manage till he dies. Comes across really well in interviews too, just a proper football bloke. Fair play to him, I assume he lives down there so something to do that he'll enjoy for a few weeks.

Looking at the remaining fixtures don't see a scenario where Spurs go down. West Ham have got some dreadful fixtures, Spurs will just about be alright.

He did, that's always been my problem with VAR tbh, I think you either have to have it for everything, or not at all. For example its ridiculous that a goal can be ruled out as there was a foul at the other end of the pitch leading to the goal, or a player was offside and deemed to be interfering thoigh never touched the ball, yet a free kick or corner is given, that is clearly wrong, we can all see it, and then a team scores from it. If the technology is there you use it for everything. My preference would be to not use it at all, but like I say the fact a blatant free kick being wrong is ignored, despite VAR easily being able to see it, is crazy to me.

Their obsession with us has been their undoing before and it will be again. I completely believe that the reason they ended up in League 1 was because for years all they were bothered about was beating us. Nothing else mattered. It's why they constantly changed manager just in time to face us. It's also no coincidence that the season they finally were relegated was the season we weren't in the league. It's happened again this season, all downhill since beating us, nothing else matters. If we beat them next month it'll kill them, even though they have defied all expectations , it won't matter. When we were relegated, and they had Big Sam, I honestly thought at thr end of that season they had a decent team, they could've tried to push on, but we'd been relegated and they hadn't so it was like they "completed it" so nothing mattered. There are plenty of smaller clubs than them that have done a lot better than them in recent years, if they could get over their obsession with us they'd have a chance of building something, but as a fanbase they're not ready for it. If they beat us twice this season and went down on those 6 points, I honestly think most of them would take it and there'd be commemorative merch released, DVDs and celebrations of an epic season. It's sad really, we need to play them early next season and beat them, they'd fall apart then.

Ultimately they're not going to be arsed, whether its Bobby from Hebburn or Xiao from Beijing that are buying a ticket, the ticket is being bought and the club are making money. They've also managed to sell hundreds of thousands of memberships so they've covered themselves that way too. The stadium is full every week, the money has been made. They know full well where the tickets are ending up, and the only way it'll stop is if there were sanctions for clubs not developing systems that stop bots/touts effectively. There aren't any sanctions or anything like that, so the club dont care.

Theyre a joke man, this sort of thing should be everywhere as its happened so many times with them. Unfortunately as they're such a nothing club it'll not get highlighted outside of their own bubble but the fans need calling out on it, happened time and time again. They're scum. Not in a, they're our rivals ill call them scum, but literally the fanbase regardless of any rivalry are scum and they constantly show themselves to be. The club too, they literally knew one of their players was a sex offending paedophile and continued to support and play him, the fans still stick up for him and support him now. So many examples of racism over the years too. A truly horrendous football club.
