  1. Actually think it'll benefit Arsenal in a weird way, they're amazing defensively, but with 11 men they'd still be defending the lead but would also be tempted/trying to get a 3rd, now the sole focus of the 2nd half will be defending the 2-1 lead which we know they're amazing at. They've got this
  2. This game is nothing new like, we're in a very false position this season, scraped past a dreadful Southampton, should have been beat by Bournemouth and if Spurs could finish they'd have beaten us too. Defeat here sums up a poor start to the season, transfer window was a joke, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
  3. "Just a broken nose, he'll only be out a couple of weeks" 2 weeks later... 'Further tests have shown Isak has broke his entire face, will be back December 2025"
  4. Also think Arsenal will beat City next week, Haaland won't score as he never does against the top teams and Arsenal's defence is insane, City have shown they will concede this season to so fancy probably the same result as today for Arsenal there.
  5. Arsenal have two players out injured and to listen to the commentary you'd think they'd just played their reserves and won this. Spurs are dreadful, no chance of them being anywhere near the top 4 again this season.
  6. Usually always a shit game this, even when there's goals it's generally a borefest. No idea why Sky seem to pick it every single season.

    - can safely say there's never been a time we've scored a goal (unless against them) and my reaction is to shout fuck you ya mackem bastards. It's stranger still that we're not even in the same league so has no affect on us whatsoever, and that's their reaction. So fucking odd man
  8. I know it's only half an hour, but 1.30 and 4pm kick offs are so much better than 2 and 4.30pm. It just feels right.

Manager has to be English imo. Our problem of course is that we don't have that many good English managers. The problem with going foreign is they will never 100% want England to win if they play their nation. Say it's the World Cup Final, Germany v England. There's no way Jurgen Klopp, competitiveness or not, is wanting to be the bloke that denies his country that. Not saying he'd throw the game per se, but even subconsciously it won't mean as much to him and there'll be a part of him that doesn't want to win. All the other top nations, aside from 1 or 2, (Portugal and Brazil?) have only ever won a Euros or World Cup with a manager of their own nationality too so there's credence to my theory. Again though the problem lies with the lack of quality English managers. As much as it pains me from a club level, if I was a neutral I would be 1000% behind Howe getting the gig.

Will definitely be Carsley who gets the gig, it's the FA way now with how it's all set up. The succession plan and all that. Be extremely underwhelming and will more than likely be more of the same.
  11. Wouldn't say the only attachment for me but aye it's a big part like! Sunday will be amazing if we make it, if not it'll just be a regular final and I probably won't even watch it as will be too gutted; as ever when England go out of a major tournament. That Sunday in 21 when we got to the final was insane

You just never know, we've been shite like but so were Man Utd and they pretty comfortably beat City in the FA Cup final so freak results can happen. Very rare a team wins all 7 games as well. Think whoever wins tomorrow has a chance.
  13. Football in general just isn't as entertaining nowadays across the board. It's become so tactical and analysed to death with sports science etc that so many games are just like chess. The lower down you go the less you see it and it results in better games, but at the top level the great games are fee and far between. It's no surprise some of the best games of this tournament have involved some of the lesser fancied nations/players. It's the same with the Prem, the big games are pretty much always shite, it's only really Liverpool/Man City against each other that produces top quality. I can count on one hand the amount of great games in the Prem last season and I probably wouldn't get to 5. There's too much football, it's far too tactical and there's far too much of the shit scared to lose so play for a draw attitude. It's just getting more and more boring in general.
  14. Surely at this point they just ban drinking in the stands and taking the cups out for the rest of the tournament? Can just steward it like over here. It's happened in most games so fans can't be trusted.

Don't mind the odd Ed Sheeran song like, but being forced to watch him like that in an environment with my work colleagues sounds like hell on earth. Fuck that.
  16. Turkey will be a good shout to reach the final now like, don't think the Dutch defence will cope with them and would fancy them to beat Switzerland or England too.

Uefa investigating Bellingham - that'll be him banned for Saturday
  18. What gives you that feeling/confidence? I'm not sure we'll even beat Slovakia tomorrow let alone Switzerland. Switzerland have looked much much better than England all tournament so far, and given the noises from Southgate it's doubtful that'll change much. Switzerland will beat England.
  19. Hilarious how he said we improved second half and the highlights showed that play with Gordon and Palmer...both of which won't start tomorrow. Clueless
  20. Switzerland/Austria could be a hell of Semi Final like, two good attacking sides, be a great game
  21. Well this is fucking dreadful. Atmosphere is shite, commentary is as dull as ever and hardly anything happening on the pitch. Italy are so dull, if they get through and play England next week it could be the most boring game ever witnessed.
  22. Big game this, would say whoever wins this will definitely be in the Semis and have a good chance of making the final.
  23. We've failed to beat Slovenia and Denmark, scraped past Serbia. I wouldn't even say the red carpet has been laid out, all the teams on the side of the draw we're on have been better than us, aside from maybe Slovakia, but they did beat Belgium. No way can we be considered favourites based on that. If we end up winning Sunday, we'll lose next Saturday. The tournaments done for us, it's never been this negative under Southgate, there's clearly divisions in the camp and the harmony between fans and players has ended. You get the feeling the players are resenting the fans now. It never ends well.
