Looks raw, but like he could be a decent prospect.

Just promoted Mansfield beating Barnsley 2-0 after 18 minutes. Blackburn beating Derby too. National League champions Chesterfield beating Swindon aswell.

I have the Sheff United vs Preston game on in the background with our game, and Woodman is proper radge these days, he just claimed a very simple ball and went ballistic telling his whole defense to fuck off

That is a lovely turn from Murphy to beat his man, and a lovely little dink to the back post. -

Anyone who knows anything about LaLiga, how close is this to their full strength side? I know they start their season on Thursday, so it must be somewhat full strength. As they look utter pap atm. -

Gordon looks rusty so far. -
Fwiw I actually want Carsley to be appointed full time, using the Under 21's, under 18's etc as a proving ground to bed in coach's is something more national associations are starting to do, it's a completely different skillset to being an international manager then at club level, and by recruiting from within a lot of players would already be familiar with him, and what he wants and offers continuity. It'd actually be very lined up thinking from the FA, Carsley has also done an exceptional job at the Under-21s and plays progressive and attacking football, it makes a lot of sense to me.

Huh? It's a very sensible move, and it's something a lot of countries are doing these days and promoting from within.

What's that graphic from?

Are they ever going to fucking stop?

We can do that to defenders though, just look at Van de Ven's performance against us at SJP. I think it's also worth noting at Guehi for the most part has played his career under a very defensive Roy Hodgson, which will lead to defenders being exposed more, his England performances will more then likely the blueprint to base him on, as he's was playing for a team that enjoyed much more of the ball, playing higher up the pitch, like we will be. Personally I also look at what other fanbases are saying, and from what i've seen, most people are saying that this would be a great signing even at this price point.

English football returns tonight

Been playing around, this is my first real draft, sure it'll change by next week: Not massively keen on that Smith-Rowe & Eze midfield, but they enable that front three, which may be a bit top heavy. Was a toss of the coin between Hall or Tino, given our opening fixtures I wanted one of our attacking full-backs to be included.

Been a while since we've had one of them happen

Emil Franchi being someone who while not an "Online" fan presence in the way of the True Faith lot, has always spoke really well whenever he does go on things like JLA's The Ripple Effect, and would be much better then anyone from Newcastle Fan TV TrueFaith Etc.

Eddie Howe is known to give nothing away, but that is the most blunt I think i've seen him respond.

I would imagine a lot of the targets this summer will have been identified pre Mitchell with a lot of work gone in place under the previous structure. I imagine Mitchell would probably use that existing work for this Window and then implement his changes to scouting and recruitment going into January and next summer, and that's where we will really see the change in approach imo.

Do we think he gets a game over the weekend? Guessing so.

Spain captain Alvaro Morata and team-mate Rodri have been banned for one game by Uefa after they chanted "Gibraltar is Spanish" during their side's Euro 2024 victory celebrations. The Gibraltar Football Association (GFA) made an official complaint about the celebrations to European football's governing body before the pair were charged. Uefa has now suspended Morata and Rodri "for failing to comply with the general principles of conduct, for violating the basic rules of decent conduct, for using sporting events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature and for bringing the sport of football, and Uefa in particular, into disrepute". They are banned for Spain's next game, which is against Serbia on Thursday, 5 September. Gibraltar is an enclave at Spain's southern tip that has been under British rule since the 18th century, and Spain has long called for its return. The chanting took place in front of tens of thousands of Spain fans in Madrid's Cibeles Square on 15 July, as players celebrated their 2-1 Euro 2024 final victory over England.
