I've had the Coventry vs Hull game on in the background to see how Lampard is getting on, and Coventry have absolute battered Hull, could have scored 3/4 goals and played some really nice stuff. So naturally Hull score in their first real attack of the game just before half time

Are you telling people not to be optimistic?
-
Kaiz has made decent point and is seemingly being sincere, and seems to want to have a genuine discussion, why are you being needlessly patronizing? For what its worth, the draw is great for the "lesser" nations, and thats a really good thing, not everything is about the big nations and leagues. Hell the best thing in Football this year is San Marino getting two wins and qualifying from Group D of the Nations League.

I did say "In their prime" like, which is basically the same as absolute peak like
-
I've not seen any better complete striker than Cisse during that 6 months post signing, if we're talking peak he absolutely get in
-
Not have Isak is a wild shout So mine would be, if we're talking at their absolute peak: Krul; Tino, Schar, Colo, Hall; Cabaye, Tiote, Bruno; HBA, Cisse, Isak.

For the top nations it is a bit of a formality, but with the Nations League and the second spot play-off, these qualification campaigns are massive for the second rung of national sides, like Albania for instance have a great chance of potentially making it to the play-off round, to have a one off match to qualify for the World Cup, for the first time in their history.

Chelsea because they played in Asia yesterday, and Spurs would have been the 12:30 Saturday kick-off, but as they where in the Europa League they moved it to 7pm Sunday.

Graham Potter to Spurs feels like the most Spurs thing possible.

What first 11 do you think is better, the 5th season, or our current, say they're both managed by Howe, and are in their prime: Krul; Simpson, Colo, Williamson, Santon; Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Jonas; Cisse, Ba Vs. Pope; Tino, Schar, Burn, Hall; Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon And what would be the combined XI?

For a Premier League club, it absolutely isn't like

Gillespie is a training keeper and is probably on something like £10k a week
-
With a centre back pairing of Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard too.

We're all Glasgow Rangers this evening right?

When you're sick, how do you have the neck to accept your pay?

I don't want to seem like i'm having a go here, as you seem like a decent bloke, but I personally don't demand a team that wins, and I think it can be a very toxic way to look at supporting a football club. I demand a football club and squad that is trying to win every game, that I expect, but not that they must win every game. No team on this earth has a god given right to demand their team wins, and its a fallacy to think so, and quite frankly entitled, and very Chelsea/ Real Madrid like, two of the most detestable clubs on the planet. In regards to the message itself, at the time it was spot on, it wasn't about "making friends with the media" it was about getting a message out there that the club wasn't even attempting to compete, it was happy with mediocrity, with 17th being enough, and the fans having had enough and wanting change. It was absolutely the right thing to say in that moment, and i'm honestly surprised there are any fans that disagree.

I absolutely detest comments like this, and think it says alot more about the person saying it. It's not his fault his body is falling apart, and you would think the last few years have been extremely tough for him mentally as well as physically. Especially considering that whenever he has been on the pitch he's always gave his all, scored a lot of important goals and by all accounts is a solid bloke, who is really good behind the scene. People seems to forget that footballers are humans too, and not just balls of flesh for our entertainment, with emotions and feelings like anyone else. I say that as someone who has probably made similar comments in the past, and regret making them.

Its bullshit, but its a rumour: https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/12/11/andreas-christensen-transfer-newcastle/
-
It's really annoying and shitty from a club perspective, but I feel bad for him as a person, its not his fault his body is falling apart, and he seems like a really likeable bloke, so its just sad.
-
I'm the opposite, it be very surprised if its true. The way we backed him during his ban, and helped him through it, how glowingly he spoke about how the club supported him etc. He's going to forget about that due to being in and out of the side for a few months? Sounds like bullshit to me.
