  1. So out of those in the club who could play left back, I'd say I'd go with this heirarchy. 1. Santon - Obviously our best LB. Not the best fullback in the world defensively (like everyone else though) but the best attacking fullback we have. 2. Raylor - While Santon's the best attacking fullback we have in terms of movement, he's the best in terms of delivery. Injured sadly but undoubtedly an asset to the team. Over the wall. 3. Perch - He seems to do well at any position we play him these days and he could make a depleted side look decent in a jiffy. 4. Fergie - Started out as a LB so he's an obvious pick here. A bit injury-prone atm though, but he's got bags of potential and has a good attacking instinct. 5. Anita - Not sure if Tav is better than him at LB, but Anita seems to have the attributes for the role. Pace, good defensively, good vision for deliveries, stamina and composure on the ball (Something which only he and Santon possess among our fullbacks imo.) 6. Tav - Appears to me as a Simpson-type player at the moment, which could obviously change as he matures. Not a natural LB, but young and still adaptable. 7. Jonas - One of the best defensive wingers imo. Full back is clearly not natural to him but he will put in a good shift when needed. 8. Good - Not a natural fullback and not seen him much but I'll place him here as I've read he's a ball-playing leftie who seems mature for his age.
  2. Why? Will still be Santon's position with Simpson on the right. Not as starter, more of cover. We'd still play him in CM but if we get stretched by fixtures then I'd play him at LB.
  3. With Raylor out, I think we'll be seeing him more often at LB.
  4. He has one link-up: with Saylor using a back pass.
  5. Have a feeling the people we deem unfit would score too.
  6. Cracking away trips or a group that almost guarantees progress?
  7. Group of death for us will prolly be Athletico Madrid, Napoli and Anzhi; or Inter, Bilbao then Anzhi again.
  8. As it stands it's Norwich on the Saturday then this two days later. When did we have a 2 day gap between games again? Oh, right.
  9. Fergie playing a back-up team against us. He'd throw in a good mix of his first eleven and some decent squad players. Could see this as Rooney's return date as well.

  11. Same old story from AC, really. Would want to fight for his place, would only accept a move to a European club, etc.
  12. Which is why I'd not play Tav, as they seemed to spot him as our weak point.
  13. I wish we'd also gauge our transfers by possibility percentages.
  14. He makes it sound like someone is going to break in, bundle a player into a van and drive him off to a new club. You don't have to be careful, you just have to turn them all down! Depends how much is offered, would you turn down 20 million for Cabaye? He influences our game too much for me to accept the bid. Carroll, in contrast, may have been our best player at the time, but his departure did not change our direct style of play. If Cabaye's passing disappears during our attempted transition from hoofball to football, it will be quickly and painfully felt.
  15. I'd focus on the league too as much as I can but it would be f***ing absymal not to make it to the group stages at least, like.
  16. Aye, got me jumping for a sec until my the page loaded. http://www.nufc.co.uk/javaImages/a0/6f/0,,10278~11169696,00.gif
  17. DGos really reminds me of Kevin Nolan with his style, minus the goals. Fat, slow and cant tackle? Still too young for the former two, but on the positive side, he seems to have those forward runs in him.

    Joey Barton

This oddly reminds me of Hatem's move to us for some reason.
  19. Shame he wasnt fit in the first game. We were screaming out for him over Gosling behind Cisse, DG ended up putting in a completely worthless performance as the spare man role which suits Vuckic. DGos really reminds me of Kevin Nolan with his style, minus the goals.
  20. Deadline day signing for us, and a hat trick v Villa in his debut, like 2 years ago. You heard it here first.
  21. Gerrard can do the job. If fit.
