It's say nothing about his list of priorities. He played full strength sides when they were knocked out of the FA Cup they were just narrowly beaten by Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal x2. The only anomaly is when he played a weakened side against Wigan and they lost but that was due to playing with 10 men for a full half. Classic FA Cup upset. Pep/Man City always want to win the FA Cup. Their focus will be 100% on this game. They're going to be dynamite.

It's part of a treble. It's a fucking huge deal to them.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Froggy replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Sevilla, Dortmund and Lazio would be a great group. -
@Optimistic Nut You're better than this man.
-
Saw that, and thought it was a disgrace to be honest. How can UEFA or whoever is in charge not provide the referee with a safer passage through the airport? So many angry "ultras" got to within striking distance of him and were pushing him and I assume his wife about the place.
-
Beaten by the winners again. Slight consolation. Sevilla are a Europa League machine.
-
We will sign a centre forward without a doubt. I think we will need some homegrown players though which is why the Mount signing makes sense. Henderson and Williams will definitely leave. McTominay and Maguire could leave.
-
If that's the reason, this season is a mighty strange time to do it. You're more than welcome to go and find all of the times that I've brought us up in a thread rather than replied to posts already talking about us. You won't find too many.
-
Would be a great signing. Stupid of Chelsea to sell him to City if they have any intention of challenging them in the future.
-
Antony does have 15 goal involvements himself this season. I'd give him more a bit more time than one season though.
-
This season yes. Which is fair enough if that's what we're talking about. Since Fernandes joined the league though, more goal involvements than De Bruyne. Per 90 I've no idea, but would imagine it's mighty close. Not sure what the issues were with the stats above were either. They were black and white.
-
Do you mean this season? He has more assists than Odegaard and more goals than De Bruyne. If you're including seasons before only De Bruyne is even close to him. I'm fairly sure that Fernandes has more goal involvements than anyone except Messi in the top five leagues since he came into the league. I just don't think people understand how good his numbers are. It's something like 120 G+A in 200 games. I think it's a fair argument to say that if Fernandes had Haaland up top as well that he would have significantly more assists. That isn't me saying Fernandes is better than De Bruyne BTW.
-
Appreciate the honesty.
-
I know that's what all these opinions are based on, I just wanted to hear it from the horses mouth. Fair play to you for being honest. Can't say I've seen this myself barring one occasion with Sancho this season. Fully agree with this. Extremely frustrating how much of a yap he is. Wish he would stop.

Bumping this thread to throw a few things out after being in the Team of the Season thread. It's a Manchester United thread, so surely I can't catch any shit from posting in here. Didn't want to derail a thread asking opinions on Bruno Fernandes so dug this up. @aussiemag @54 @nufc123 @Super Duper Branko Strupar @SiLvOR All of you listed Bruno Fernandes as one of the most overrated players this season. ----- 16.8 - Bruno Fernandes assisted the most xG of any player in the PL in 2022-23 (16.8), although his teammates scored only 8 goals from those passes. 16.8 - Bruno Fernandes 13.9 - Kevin De Bruyne 12.4 - Kieran Trippier 11.5 - Trent Alexander-Arnold 10.5 - Pascal Groß This is with large parts of the season with Wout Weghorst as his striker. May I ask what he would need to do to be rated fairly in your eyes?
-
Team of the season: Alisson, Trippier, Saliba, Schar, Ake, Rodri, De Bruyne, Odegaard, Saka, Kane, Haaland. Player of the season: Haaland Young player of the season: Saka Manager of the season: Howe Underrated players of the season: Bruno Fernandes, Shaw, Wilson, Estupinan, Grealish Overrated players of the season: Casemiro, Ramsdale
-
Kane won't go abroad until he beats Shearer's record.
-
He's going to be a monster. I think this season was an anomaly. No way he misses all those chances again.
-
16.8 - Bruno Fernandes assisted the most xG of any player in the PL in 2022-23 (16.8), although his teammates scored only 8 goals from those passes. 16.8 - Bruno Fernandes 13.9 - Kevin De Bruyne 12.4 - Kieran Trippier 11.5 - Trent Alexander-Arnold 10.5 - Pascal Groß Man is crying out for a Kane, or a Wilson.

Meh. That's what you get for believing the media. in the months leading up to his appointment it was widely reported that he was taking English lessons to become fluent. His fluent and our fluent is obviously very different.
-
He speaks worse English than that now.
-
Ten Hag barely spoke English before taking over at us. He has given Newcastle a ton of praise this season and rightly so. I think a lot of the things he says are lost in translation and he seems to be one of the most respectful coaches we've ever had. He's putting pressure on the owners with his comments about spending. Something yes men like Solskjaer were afraid to do.
