Sounds a bit like you thought you could compete with a couple of defenders tbh. Koulibaly and Skriniar aren't coming in the same window. That's £200m worth of CB's.
-
I would sell him and pay Herrera what he wants and then sign a CB and RB with the funds. I would be expecting £120-150m for Pogba off Real Madrid.
-
Not wanting him out but rather want him to install a footballing director of sorts. He's amazing at the financial side of his job, but he's been making footballing decisions which have hindered the club, such as not wanting to pay £40m for Alderweireld and £50 for Perisic.

I'm absolutely not accepting that we're yesterdays men and can't compete again, but this isn't a one transfer window fix. We can't win the league next year and certainly not the Champions League. A lot of our fans think we can just sign a CB and a RB in the summer and we'll be competing again. That's not how it works. City and Liverpool are so far ahead it's crazy. It took Klopp a few years to build this side though.

howay man Wolves have beat Arsenal and Chelsea and got a draw with City there as well. Everton beat Chelsea and Arsenal at Goodison and got a draw with Liverpool. Are we going to pretend they're not good sides and very hard to beat at home? you basically used to own goodison man, and wolves are a newly promoted team playing against your half a billion pound corporate machine you've a fair point on fixtures, was more the contrast of current expectations vs. reality, but you've just handed the job to solksjaer it's no fucking good making excuses...manager of a club that size should be getting results, it's that simple We used to own Goodison because we used to be the best team in the country by a mile. We're not now. It's as simple as that. We haven't come close to winning the league in 6 years. Expectations need to be lowered.

1 defeat in 5 for Rafa’s shitty lower mid table Mags in the equivalent. And we’re awful as you enjoy telling us. When have I said you're awful?

The press got carried away. A sizeable section of our support stayed grounded. The vast majority, including myself believed and still believes he did enough to get a shot at the permanent gig. At the end of the day it isn't his team, and the turnaround was magnificent. He had a good run of fixtures when he came in but some excellent results after that. We beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester away from home and drew with Liverpool the weeks before this bad run. I definitely think we should have got more out of those games. The manor of some of the defeats is what is worrying, not the results themselves. The Everton display an absolute disgrace. There's a lot of players that need shipped out this summer and I hope we don't cling on to "stars" in desperation. We need a complete overhaul. We're not a top footballing team anymore and need to treat the rebuild as such.

Sanchez, Lukaku and Pogba cost £164m.

7 losses in 9 isn't good no matter what way you look at it, but the reaction on here has been hilarious given the games that we've had. Away to Arsenal, away to Wolves x2, Barca x2, City, away to Everton. Played Liverpool, PSG x2, Chelsea in the weeks before that too. Absolutely stinking run of fixtures that any manager would struggle with.

Wish I was playing. Uppa Blues. -
I hate this nonsense. We don't want Liverpool to win the league, but we're hardly going to roll over at home in a derby. We'll lose, but we'll try.

well that's just not true is it It is.

What are the actual betting rules for footballers?

Individual mistakes are a bastard like, especially when you're on top. Need Rashford to start being more clinical with chances like that and also need Young to fuck off. Young's individual mistakes cost us dearly in both legs, no idea what he's thinking trying to be clever near his own box when Messi is lurking about. Awful mistake by De Gea as well and then a world class strike from Coutinho. Nothing Ole could do about any of the goals. Liverpool have absolutely nothing to fear about this Barcelona side. Can see them cruising past them. Glad to see everyone on here was able to enjoy an English side getting beat though after suffering through a relegation battle all year. Everyone deserves a break.

What an absolute melt. Daily Mail. Absolute nonsense story, and quite intelligent people on here using rags as concrete sources. Bit silly really.

Liverpool's first team is almost as expensive as City's. Klopp has also used the same amount of academy graduates in his first team as Pep has; 1.
-
Our managers have managed to spend 100's of millions on absolute guff to be fair. That's the difference in appointing David Moyes as opposed to Pep Guardiola. We're essentially still recovering from that terrible appointment.
-
Because that's how football is played? i don't see the point in talking about their spending over multiple seasons when the sport isn't defined by success over multiple years or even played like that? But if you want to do this then fine, how about Man Utd's spending since Ferguson retired? what has that got them?
-
I hate both, but they're both playing incredible football and deserve to win the league. People can say City have the oil money or whatever but Liverpool's starting 11 is probably just as expensive as City's. People forget the likes of Keita and Fabinho cost £40/50m.

Same got 2 quid on a Palace/Chelsea double at 49-1 You could have given me the two quid instead.
