Valencia will cause a lot of damage down the wing in both attacking and defending and Park has improved tenfold in that time. Nowhere near as good? That's not the case at all. It was probably Fabio all along. But really it was because Rafael got injured and Fabio came in and played immense. There's nothing between them. Once Evra retires or leaves they'll both be first choice full backs. Very exciting players. He will play out left but drop into the midfield along with Park to try and flood it and stop the three Spaniards from playing. Valencia is a certified starter because of his willingness to defend as well.

I agree, however back in the days of Keane nothing really compares to this kind of behaviour. OP, I think Hernandez is a nailed on starter in a 4-5-1 formation that sees Rooney moved out wide left, which will see Nani dropped. Our style of play is different from '09, especially in the way that the whole team isn't based around one player, i.e. Ronaldo. Almost certain Giggs will start in centre midfield along with Carrick and Park. If Fletcher is fully fit then I've literally no clue who will be dropped for him but someone will and it will be the hardest decision Fergie has. Valencia will start and the back four will be Evra, Vidic, Rio and Fabio/Rafael. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with O'Shea for experience at right back, but pretty sure he'd get raped for pace by every member of their side. I think whoever wins it will win by a solitary goal. Unfortunately if we manage to frustrate Barcelona their plan B is to dive and surround the ref hoping to get a player sent off so Messi can then proceed to utilise the free space and destroy everyone. Some here might think that's hypocritical of me with the way Nani/Hernandez go over so easily, but there's no comparison. Barcelona are digusting when they go down that route. Should be a good final mind.

A big chunk of his goals this season came in the league cup. His goal return in the league was poor. I know West Ham have been bad but surely they would have been looking at him as one of the players that would turn that around for them.

The only player that would improve the Newcastle squad from West Ham's team would be Demba Ba IMO. Carlton Cole is complete horseshit. Another example of a player hyped up when he scored a few goals simply because he's English. Parker is a good player no doubt but he plays the same role as Tiote doesn't he? He's not as good as Tiote either, he's just English, i.e. over-hyped. He'll go to Spurs as well, and probably get overshadowed and exposed by Sandro, who looks to be a very good player. Back to Ba though, he'd probably only cost £5million or so. Looks a steal right now.
