Van Persie does have a history of injuries, but his record isn't anywhere near as bad as people seem to think. I think during his career he's averaged 35 games a season.

A lot of the players should take a long, hard look at themselves anyway. Fletcher has been busting his balls since he came back while a lot of the other senior players have been utter shite and have no fight at all. The only players I actually can't criticise in terms of effort are De Gea, Vidic, Januzaj and Rooney.

I'm shocked at the results for last week to be honest, which are below: Luis Suarez - 74.3% (75 votes) of people believed he is the better player. Robin van Persie - 18.8% (19 votes) in comparison for van Persie 7 people couldn't separate the two. This week I was tempted to do Rooney and Ozil due to the debate in the Man United thread, but I wanted to do two players who played for Newcastle this week and I'm curious to see how highly rated Sir Les was in comparison to Andy Cole.
